Well, as of 7:26 AM ET this morning, The Music Click is five years old! To quote Barry Manilow, "Looks like we made it!" (Hey, this is The Music Click, we need a music reference!  ) We'll be getting the party underway later today, but before we do, I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on our accomplishments and thank all of you for your part in helping us reach this cool milestone. I vividly remember that Friday, May 9, 2003, when Adam and I worked on setting the site up and bounced ideas off each other. So much has happened to all of us in the five years since that day, both good and bad, but one thing has remained the same - we are still going strong, and I honestly think you'd be hard-pressed to find a cooler, more caring and accepting group of people than what we have here at the Click. I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to get to know many of you online (and a couple in person). So let me say a heartfelt thanks to each one of you for your contributions towards making this a friendly, enjoyable place to be! Here's to another five years of music, memories, fun and friendships!  *Raising the virtual glass* |

Well since I just woke up, it's not a glass but a coffee mug I raise. Thanks to Adam & Dawn for creating this site, and everyone else for making it so good. Happy 5th.

It's strange to say it, but it's really true. May 9, 2003 has to be in the top 25 most significant days in my life. Now, it's true that Arnie thinks it has to be #3 right behind Hey Jude and Stairway to Heaven, and DJ Dave isn't going to like it any more if I like it (hmm, y'know, that part is probably true)
But I mean it. You guys have become an important part of my life. A LOT of thanks have to go to Dawn and to Adam also, wherever he is. (Come back, Adam, we miss you!)
This is not just a website. This is as close as a group of electrons in cyberspace can come to being "home."
Happy 5th Anniversary to The Music Click.

It's been very cool hanging out in person with you a few times as well (although I still think those people in the hotel lobby last fall probably thought the three of us were crazy when we were talking about the sock puppets! ;D) |
