Well Dawn and Mark are on vacation in New Orleans, and Nancy and I are about to drive up to Wilmington/Philadelphia for a wedding this weekend. So we won't be on line. Therefore Railyn and Jughead are in charge to keep the really bad people here in line. So all you flamers and trolls and sockpuppets and shoe-trees beware! Wait a minute. We don't have any flamers or trolls or suckpuppets. And I don't even know what a shoe-tree is! OK everybody, have a great weekend!

(Or, maybe that should say IN SPITE of RL...)

Enjoy a drink or two and don't forget to request something cool from the DJ! If a band is playing, see if you can stump them! Thanks Dave. Actually we had a much better time than expected. I have to laugh though, when I saw your comment about requesting a tune from the DJ. This was an Orthodox Jewish wedding. In a strictly Orthodox wedding, the men all sit on one side of the room and the women on the other, with a screen between them. Men dance with men and women dance with women. No, I don't mean like in a gay bar - it's an entire group of men dancing on one side of the screen and a whole group of women dancing on the other. Dances like the "hora" only very complex. Well for this wedding there was a bit of a compromise. We were all in a rectangular room with the dance floor occupying maybe a quarter of the room at one end, with a screen down the center bisecting the dance floor. The dining area rtook up the rest of the room, and from the tables you could see both sides of the dance floor. They had a band - drums, a guitar, keyboards, and two guys alternating between sax, trumpet, and clarinet. They were quite good. All of the music was either traditional Jewish music or some more modern presumably Israeli stuff. Except for their breaks they played continuously with each tune melding into the next. The really funny thing was at one point they threw a little bridge in to get fro one song to the next, and they used the opening riff from Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water." Totally cracked me up! It was kinda saying, Hey. We know GOOD music too!

Jughead climbs up on the sofa in his underwear and begins to air guitar to "Old Time Rock and Roll".
