I will probably be the only person who will go with The Regents. I heard it first (their version came out about 5 years earlier) plus, the BBs version was cute in the fact that it was impromptu, but that's good for one or two listens. After that, hearing them sing it - and not even know the words becomes boring.

This will probably come as a surprise, but I'm going with the Regents' version as well. The Beach Boys' version is ok, but as Ed said, the impromptu quality of it wears a little thin after a while, and it pales next to their other material from the period.

It's been quite awhile since I've heard The Regents' version - great stuff.
