How many of you have done things in the past in honor of your favorite band? Did you do plaster your bedroom with their pictures and posters as a teenager? (raises hand) Did you make a lame plaster sculpture of them in Jr. High? (raises hand again) Did you name your animals and or children after any of the band members? (This is the last time I'm raising my hand......I promise.) ---I have two cats, aptly named "Abbey" and "Lucy"----- What strange and/or unique things did you do in the past in honor of your favorite band(s)?

I have a cat named Lucy, too! She was already named when we got her at five months, but in an interesting coincidence, that was exactly the name we would have chosen for her. We also had Michelle, named after the Beatles song, from 1991 to 2004 - I still miss her terribly. I did the posters and pictures thing, as well. I had Rick Springfield pin-ups all over my bedroom, along with a couple of pencil portraits I drew of him. I also had Beatles posters I got from Musicland - one was a replica of a ticket to the 1966 Candlestick Park concert, and the other was the shadowed faces pose from the Meet the Beatles cover. (I wish I still had those, but they got torn in a move.)

My room was COVERED with posters of the Backstreet Boys when I was a teenager. My friend and I spent a full day putting up the "wallpaper" of posters. I still have some of my posters up, actually (I repainted my room when I was 16, so I was still into them and put up the posters again), just not as many as when I was younger. If I didn't keep the posters on my wall, my room would feel naked! Here's what it looked like when I was 13-16 yrs old: I also used to cover my school agenda-book with stickers of my favourite bands and actors, and my locker door was covered top to bottom with posters of boybands.

I did the posters and pics as well. My bedroom and closet doors were covered with various KISS and Beatles posters and pics taken from magazines. The KISS posters, I REALLY wish I still had, since they are now worth alot of money.
As far as The Beatles, I had the four pics from the "White Album" on the front of my bedroom door for the longest time.
On my bedroom walls at different times, I had various posters of Elton John (The "Captain Fantastic" poster (which I still have), plus a huge one that was included in the "fan club" package in 1975. I really wish I still had that one! I have no idea whatever happened to it.
I've mentioned this here before. I also had a huge poster of the Jefferson Airplane above my bed, I won it at the local fair here (the "Pacific National Exhibition") back in the mid 70's. At the time, I didn't know who they were (lol) I was only about 8 or 9 at the time. I asked my brother who they were and he told me. It was very psychedelic, the picture was tinted purple.
I really wish I had taken some pictures of what my bedroom looked like back in the 70's
