Last night, I was channel surfing and I saw Ringo Starr being interviewed on Larry King Live! Ringo was in Chicago touring with his tenth edition of the All Starr Band. Incidentally, it was Ringo's 68th birthday! He even got a surprise call from an old friend - Yoko Ono! Yoko was very sweet and praised Ringo for being a talented musician and painter! She also felt Ringo was one of the most humble people whom she has the pleasure to know. Ringo discussed how much fun he had being a Beatle and how he and Paul have kept a close friendship though the good and challenging times. Ringo also took time to praise the musicians who tour with him on the All Starr Band. Colin Hay and Edgar Winter are just two of the famous people on the tour. Ringo also has tributes to both John and George in his act. I saw a brief clip of him performing "Give Peace A Chance" and "Never Without You" is his tribute to George that can be found on "Photograph The Very Best of Ringo Starr". Larry asked Ringo "You have all the money you could need, why do you still tour?" Ringo replied, "I still love doing this. It's 2 hrs. 20 Min. of having fun with the audience!" Ringo told Larry he was currently working on another CD. Ringo's current effort "Liverpool 8" was viewed by Larry as Ringo's most personal effort. I hope you are are to see a rebroadcast of the interview. Until then in the words of Ringo "Peace and Love" !

Ringo is the definition of cool. And man, he looks GREAT for being 68!!! One of the most enjoyable concerts I've been to was seeing him back in '95. He just seemed to be having the time of his life....and I got him to wave at me, too! Long live the ringed one!

I'm sorry I missed this, as it sounds like a great interview!
I agree with Nancy that Ringo does look amazing for 68. I saw him in concert in 2006, and he was so enthusiastic and good-natured, with the energy of a man half his age. Great show!
