And on we go! Thanks for all of your votes so far!
The races have been TIGHT for a spot in Bobby, the Gremashlo family juke box--currently, the Monkees "Valleri" has fallen one vote shy of Smith's "Baby It's You" in Round 1, but either one will advance to either Bobby or the consolation round...
Meanwhile in Round Two, a electoral nightmare of SIX strong candidates has found Martha and the Vandellas' "Nowhere to Run" in first place, while ELO's "Sweet Talkin' Woman" has passed Lobo's "I'd Love You to Want Me", the Beach Boys' "Help Me Rhonda", Barbra Streisand's "Stoney End" and Bruce springsteen's "Born to Run" for second place...
Again--the winner gets the spot in the juke box, while second place moves onto a "consolation" round, and gets one more shot at jukebox immortality. The 45 being replaced is...and this was tough to do..."Shambala" by Three Dog Night.
We move onto today's round--which to me looks to be the toughest yet (but then again, I thought "Born to Run" would run away with Round Two, so what do I know?)...
Let the voting begin! And remember--if you haven't voted in the previous sections, voting is STILL OPEN!

And, by the by, I voted for "Without You" and "Don't Pull Your Love"...though I just as easily could have picked "Overnight Sensation" and "Cruel to be Kind"...sigh...

Cruel To Be Kind and Let's Stay Together
This one was tough. Good songs on that list.

And on we go! Thanks for all of your votes so far! The races have been TIGHT for a spot in Bobby, the Gremashlo family juke box--currently, the Monkees "Valleri" and Smith's "Baby It's You" are still tied in Round 1, but "Valleri" has the tie-breaker (my tiebreaker is how you mention your votes--whatever song you mentioned first gets an additional tie-break vote)... Meanwhile in Round Two, a electoral nightmare of FIVE strong candidates left Martha and the Vandellas' "Nowhere to Run" in first place, while Lobo's "I'd Love You to Want Me" holds the tiebreaker over ELO's "Sweet Talkin' Woman" and the Beach Boys' "Help Me Rhonda" and Barbra Streisand's "Stoney End" for second... Again--the winner gets the spot in the juke box, while second place moves onto a "consolation" round, and gets one more shot at jukebox immortality. And remember--if you haven't voted in the previous sections, voting is STILL OPEN! I went with Without You and Overnight Sensation in that order. Walk Don't Run and Johnny Be Good were close behind. But tell me more about your tiebreaker? Don't you have 14 levels of tiebreaker in case the ties aren't broken by the first one? Here are some suggestions for others: What is each record's BCS rating, which has the prettiest label, which 45 is scratched the least and most likely not to skip if played in Bobby (come to think of it that should be a pre-voting criterion.) As for having to remove 3DN's "Shambala" -- it would have been a lot easier to do if it were the BW Stevenson version!

As for having to remove 3DN's "Shambala" -- it would have been a lot easier to do if it were the BW Stevenson version! Pretty simple--if there's a tie, I give two extra points if a voter had that song listed first, and one if listed second. If there's still a tie, I will contact the ghost of Lou Rawls via ouija board--if he's unavailable, then Bobby Bloom--and he will cast the tie-breaking vote. Simple! If STILL tied, my cat will vote--but that is a desperate action, as he prefers '80's European disco, and may be unpredictable. (Actually, I have had to pull several great records because they would not have played well--my copy of "Do You Believe in Magic" by Lovin' Spoonful has a slight warp that is not a problem on a regular stereo, but created havoc on Bobby...same with my unedited 45 of "House of the Rising Sun" by the Animals--also, being a collector, I don't want to damage some of my more valuable 45's, so my Sun 45s and most of my Beatles/Elvis singles have had to be held back...And, yes--SHAMBALA was a hard one to take out, but I play "One" and "Eli's Coming" much more...and "Never Been to Spain" is in an upcoming round...)

There are so many cool tracks here to choose from Being the HUGE Badfinger fan that I am, I'm giving another vote to Without You. I'm also a HUGE Raspberries fan, so a vote goes to Overnight Sensation.
