Wow, does that take me back to high school days. I never had the 45, but I do have the soundtrack on cassette, and I bought it primarily for that very song. I used to be able to play that synthesizer part on my keyboard. I remember going to see the movie in the theater with some friends when it was current. I wasn't quite 17 yet at the time , but was allowed in.

I do have that LP. I also have the "Back To the Future" LP as well as "Top Gun". One thing that is always really neat about soundtracks are the movie poster artwork on the cover. Very cool.
As for the Beverly Hills Cop record, the "Axel F" song is one of those tunes that you just find yourself humming to yourself out of the blue.
