Happy New Year everybody!! It's about 1:50 AM on Jan 1 2009 in the East here, and Nancy and I just got back from the Kennedy Center downtown where we saw "The Music of Andrew Lloyd Weber", then had dinner, and then stayed for the Kennedy Center New Years Eve Party. The musical review was great. The dinner was quite good, and as far as the party went -- we are FAR too young for such a party. Maybe we'll try again when we are in our 90s. Anyway, here's hoping for a happy healthy 2009 for all my fellow Clicksters. Keep music in your minds and in your hearts!

Happy and healthy 2009 to all! This has been a December to forget. After experiencing an ice storm that left some in our region without power for a week and our house for three days. I hope and pray no one ever has to wake up to water in their basement or their room like I did! I had a great Christmas and I am blessed with great family and friends. I realize many of us have faced numerous challenges this past year. I hope the hard times are behind you. As the song goes to everything turn, turn, turn. There is a season. I hope 2009 is a better season for us all!

Happy new year, everyone! Hard to believe it's 2009 already - in a way, it seems like only yesterday we were ushering in the new decade!
Mark and I spent New Year's Eve at Pechanga Casino in Temecula, seeing Rick Springfield in concert. Excellent show, even better than the one we saw in Anaheim in 2007. He still looks amazing, and it was great to re-live some musical memories from my teen years.
Here's hoping 2009 will hold much happiness in store for all of us!

Since I didn't get to see Rick in concert back in the day, I guess he is helping me make up for lost time!

I hope and pray no one ever has to wake up to water in their basement or their room like I did! I agree with Dave, the past month has been especially rough. Aside from the nasty storms and power outages, I had a MAJOR falling out with my ex Dani, and will probably never speak to her again. The fight we had resulted in me punching a wall, breaking my hand, and spending the month of December in a cast. On a more positive note, however, I did meet a new girlfriend, Diane. We've only been going out a couple of weeks, and we're not rushing anything, but she is really cool, and will hopefully make 2009 a better year for me!
