Never was a big Elton fan, but I remember being in the city for the Bicentennial, and this was all over the place:
And yes, I know it was actually written for Billie Jean King and her tennis team....but it brings back good memories.

Love Elton! Great singer and songwriter.
"Philadelphia Freedom" is my favorite. I love the energy of it, and as with Railyn, the song brings back nice childhood memories for me.
Here's another of Elton's I enjoy, from 1979. This was not his strongest period in terms of hits, but he still recorded some gems during this time.

Liked the first three LPs- after that he got Las Vegas-y and then Disneyfied.
