Very sad to hear of Teddy's passing, especially at only 59. Such a talented singer...I've always enjoyed his work with Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes as well as his solo material. He'd been through so much with his accident and subsequent paralysis years ago, but I had not known that he had been ill with cancer.
He will be fondly remembered, and much missed.

I remember watching his episode of "Behind the Music." It was a very moving story of struggle, success and redemption. He has a great family. I always loved "Wake Up Everybody" and "Close The Door". Teddy knew how to be romantic without being vulgar, he prided himself on that. I had no idea he had cancer. He hadn't recorded much in the past ten years. He will be missed.
