I always thought Wildfire was cheesey. Just because it's cheesey doesn't mean it's bad, per se. Maybe it's just because I'm of a ever-so-slightly different generation. One day while driving home from either an Ohio or Illinois trip, Nelson was sleeping and I turned on the 70's channel. Their selection was "Rocky". I'd never heard it before. It was horrifying. www.metrolyrics.com/rocky-lyrics-dickey-lee.htmlIf that other stuff is cheese, this is Limburger.

Sung by Austin Roberts of "Something's Wrong With Me" fame (and now we see what was wrong with him.) ... and penned by Dickey Lee who brought us even more rancid cheese back in the early '60s. www.metrolyrics.com/patches-lyrics-dickey-lee.html

Patches is ok. Very cheesey.
Dickey Lee's grammy for Patches was featured on a recent episode of Pawn Stars. The person trying to sell it got it in exchange for some legal work, if I am remembering it right.

I've always had an affection for the "other" Patches, which is another type of cheese altogether. "So I told Mama I was gon' quit school, but she said that was Daddy's strictest rule." What with feeding the chickens, chopping wood, and working the fields, when did he have time to go to school, much less do homework? (Clearly, I've thought about this way too much. ;D)
