I just read on Blabbermouth.com that former Rainbow/Black Sabbath/Dio frontman lost his battle with stomach cancer this morning. I'm totally shocked, as he was a big part of my teenage years..

I remember when the news was first made public that he was battling stomach cancer.

I've noticed there have been quite a few "death hoaxes" posted on the internet the past few months, Bill Cosby and Gordon Lightfoot are two that quickly come to mind.

I read the news on the comcast website Monday afternoon. I knew Ronnie had cancer and hadn't heard much from him recently. I do know that he made an album with other members of Black Sabbath. The name of the band was Heaven and Hell, but I forget the name of CD that was released last year. I never knew he was married and had a family. He seemed like a very private person.
