I probably SHOULD have put the Beatles, but i wanted to be different...so...
I chose the moment when Jimi Hendrix, Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell knocked the Earth off its axis.

Grem, you have any idea how many favourite bands I have? In the end, I chose this one. Their newer offerings are okay, but I prefer their older stuff. This song is probably my all-time fave by them. (BTW, I could have said The Beatles too, but I have them in mind for a future day...)

My favorite band - The Eagles. Many songs to chose from, but I pick one that you guys may not be that familiar with. It's called "Waiting in the Weeds" from their 2007 album Long Road out of Eden. It's worth listening to the words here. They are loaded with imagery, and tell a tale that you may not understand. It seems that Don Henley is singing about trying to win a girl back from a rich glittery playboy who has lured her away. But, as Henley explained in an interview, it is not a girl; it is music and music fans. The fans have strayed from the fine music that good solid bands llike -well - The Eagles have been performing for years. The fans have instead flitted to shallower motre glittery music. But, says Henley, all they have to do is bide their time, wait in the weeds, and their kind of music will cycle back again.
This is the only YouTube clip that features a good quality original. So (unless you are from Chicago, and like the ride down Lakeshore Drive that the poster is fesaturing and just uses Waiting in the Weeds for background music.) maybe close your eyes and listen to this, I think it's worth it!
