Ship of Fools - Robert Plant and Circle - Edie Brickell....... Those were my two big albums of 88! I'll have to go back and compare them!

My Baby Loves Me-Martina McBride & Born in the USA-Bruce Springsteen
It's true! You'd never mistake one for the other, but they have similar music in the beginning.

ALL beginning with fairly similar drum riffs:
Words of love-Mamas & the Papas Stand!-Sly & the Family Stone War-Edwin Starr
and these 2 for a more modern style: It ain't over 'til it's over-Lenny Kravitz I love you-Martina McBride

I thought it so much about Martina & Sly that I put those songs together on a variety tape I made! I'm going to have to listen to Lenny again, I don't remember the beginning at all. I applaud you for mentioning Martina! (Especially a song you hate! )

Just heard two more!
Right Place, Wrong Time-Dr. Hook and Waterfront-Simple Minds
And, honorable mention-
Someone, Somewhere in Summertime-Simple Minds and Boys of Summer-Don Henley These two don't both begin the same, but the beginning of the Minds song sounds like the music in the middle of Boys.
At least I THINK that's where I heard it from! LOL!

For someone who doesn't frequent the Click much, you sure have this post going, Gregg!
I thought of another:
Try a little kindness-Glen Campbell Waiting at the bus stop-Bobby Sherman (same intro, only electrical "wah" guitar added)
