Anyone familiar with a Time Life cd box set called " Doo Wop - The Best of the Best" I understand its a four-cd set, and contains both familar and obscure doo wop songs. I've tried checking on the Time-Life website, but can't find it. Google searches don't seem to be helping either. If you are familiar with it, I'd be curious to know what is on it (or where I can find info on it.) Thanks.,

They are pretty complete, and I THINK they list the Time Life albums too.

H2, check out allmusic.com. They are pretty complete, and I THINK they list the Time Life albums too. Couldn't find it there. I'm thinking that I have the title wrong. It is a 4 cd box set. It is doo wop. It may be Time Life; it may be called Best of the Best. Any more ideas?

Sorry. Do you have any of the songs titles? Even one? Yes. Some are: Church Bells May Ring (Diamonds) Blue Moon (Marcels) One Summer Night (Danleers) I Only Have Eyes for You (Flamingoes)

Yes. Some are: Church Bells May Ring (Diamonds) Blue Moon (Marcels) One Summer Night (Danleers) I Only Have Eyes for You (Flamingoes) Another thing you can do is punch in one of those songs and click the Song choice (instead of artist) and it'll list every CD those are on. I'd do it, but I'm at home on lunch.

Thanks Dawn! That may very well be the one. I heard a few of the songs off a download site, but it was attributed to Time Life, so I didn't even look at Rhino. - One thing that makes it seem like the right set is that I did hear Church Bells May Ring, and was thinking it was the Diamonds, but they sounded weird. The Rhino track list calls it out as the Willows. I had forgotten about them. Thats why it didn't sound like the Diamonds Thanks for your help.

Sorry I failed you...... Yeah. Well, I'll know not to ask YOU again. ;D Seriously, you didn't fail me. The Allmusic.com site would have given me the correct answer if I knew what I was looking for. I gave you guys incorrect information. What happened was someone gave me these obviously copied doo wop cds and told me they came from a box set but didn't know which one. So I went to WinMX and did a search on doo wop box sets. So I did a partial download - enough to be able to match the first part of the cd with the first part of the download. The people on WinMX were calling it "Time Life Doo Wop Box - The Best of the Best" -- but as often happens at these download sites, the information was incorrect. So I asked you guys about a Time Life box set which didn't exist. It was a Rhino box set-- and was the one that Dawn led me to -- Only the track list was in the wrong order, so I didn't recognize it at first. But it is now identified. So thanks to you, Dawn. No thanks to you, Sat. ;D
