...there's a photo of the Moody Blues. But who's the guy with seriously big hair? That would be Patrick Moraz! He was the official/unofficial replacement for Mike Pinder. I've seen him photographed with the band, as if he were a full fledged member (like in this pic and the back cover of the Legend of a Band video) and other times he isn't listed as part of the main group. Before that, he had replaced Rick Wakeman in Yes for the Relayer album. And he himself was replaced by..........Rick Wakeman.

Ah, I didn't think he was an official Moody, more like a sideman.
Somewhere I have a Moraz solo LP from the 70s. No too memorable.

He's in some photos, but not all. He probably didn't make full band member money. I think it's like The Stones replacing Bill Wyman. The guy isn't listed as a member of the Stones. A better example is Journey. For their last TRUE album, Raised on Radio, Ross Valory & Steve Smith left. On the inside of the album, only Perry, Cain and Schon are pictured. But Randy Jackson (American Idol anyone?) and Larry somethingorother are listed in there, and I have seen onstage photos of all five guys taking a bow. Genesis is SORTA the same, but it's only for live performances where Daryl Strummer and Chester Thompson are pictured and listed for their concert recordings.

At first I thought that was Tony Orlando, then I decided it wasn't him and thought maybe it was Johnny Rivers (since I haven't seen any pics of him in awhile). But it's Alan Parsons, huh? Thanks for clearing that up for me, Dawn! Now I can sleep soundly tonight. LOL!
