I meant to post this several months ago. I had on that station here, "we play anything" and this song came out that sounded older. I kept listening, and it sounded like The Hollies! So I thought it was some song of theirs I never heard of. I waited and at the end of the song, the DJ announced it as being a NEW song from Tears For Fears!  I couldn't believe it! I just borrowed the CD from my cousin's boyfriend, so I'm gonna give it a listen. I thought it was really something though. Tons of bands have tried to sound like the Beatles or the Stones. Hell, some even tried to sound like the Yardbirds (Count 5, anyone?). But to try to sound like the Hollies? COOL!! |

Adam is the song called Closest Thing To Heaven? That's the song I've heard and I like it alot. I included it om a mix CD not long ago.

No, actually I'm listening to it as I type and it's track 3, Call Me Mellow. The lead singing, the harmonies and guitar are all VERY Hollie like! And the opening track is very ELO/Pepper like, especially it's piano parts! |

Speaking of Tears for Fears, I was about to go to Hall and Oats/Tears for Fears a couple weeks ago but at last moment Tears backed out and were replaced by Todd Rundgren whom I heard s*cks in concert, so I politely declined. Does anyone know why Tears backed out///  |
