Current score:
Railyn 13 dodger 10 Sat 10 Dawn 6 Rali 5 DJDave 5 Pete 5 Everybody else 0
This one may be a little tough. We'll see.
It is another "bonus" type.
The artists are:
Gladys Knight and the Pips Christopher Cross Peter Paul and Mary
To work out the theme here, it's important to KEEP the ARTISTS in the SAME ORDER as ABOVE.
The three clues will each represent a part of the theme. Put them together and they display the theme. (5 points)
The theme will instantly bring to mind another song. Give me the singer and get a bonus point.
Good luck. Now - Name that theme!

That in itself is worth 3 points. Work a little harder on the theme. Remember, I said the order of the songs is important.

"Trains, Boats & Planes" by Burt Bacharach? You got the theme, Pete. Two points. Who's the singer? - not Bacharach. One point still up for grabs!

Dosn't matter to me how you get an answer. It's not school. ;D Ok, It was Miss Dionne, who did so much of the Bachrach stuff! Actually, it looks like Gerry & the Pacemakers did a version first that didn't crack the top 40.

Ok, It was Miss Dionne, who did so much of the Bachrach stuff! Actually, it looks like Gerry & the Pacemakers did a version first that didn't crack the top 40. You are correct with Dionne! And anudda point for you. Y'know, I think you're right about Gerry. But I don't see it listed even in the hot 100 lists for the '60s, or even on a list of (supposedly) all of Gerry's singles. -- But once you mentioned it, I do remember him singing that song. Maybe it's an album track - or maybe I'm not remembering right, and it was someone else. (adding this later. OK... I just did a Google search. It Was Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas who did it. (Billy sounded a lot like Gerry though) ..and I actually have both the Dionne and Billy versions on 45s - but I din't even think of searching on my database of music that I own.
Anyway... With 4 points today, Sat vaults into the lead. Current score: Sat 14 Railyn 13 dodger 10 Pete 7 Dawn 6 Rali 5 DJDave 5 Everybody else 0 Next game tomorrow!
