The current score is:
DJDave 33 Sat 25 dodger 25 Pete 23 Dawn 22 Railyn 19 Rali 15 KittyKat 10 Everybody Else 0
...and today's game:
In this one, you need to keep the three artists in the order given. Get the answer correctly and it will give you the name of another artist/group
Foreigner Sam Cooke Eric Clapton
This may take you a while. (But I've been surprised before.)
Name that theme!

I'll keep looking, but the only sense I could make out of their respective songs (keeping them in order) was:
Juke Box Hero That's It, I Quit, I'm Movin On Hello Old Friend
It's a make it big, break up, get back together kind of thing, but that could be so many groups, and I'm probably wrong.....

No, Railyn. Good try, but that's not it.

Another stab:
Dirty White Boy You Send Me Cocaine
Could be a lot of people again, but I keep thinking of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana.
It's probably wrong, but kind of comical.....

I like it! I wish I had thought of it. But I didn't. In other words, it's incorrect. Keep on keepin' on. New clue in a coupla hours.

OK. The game is into its second day and now worth 4 points.
Remember, the artists are: Foreigner Sam Cooke Eric Clapton,
and the clue was that the three songs need to be in that order, and then the theme will GIVE YOU THE NAME OF ANOTHER ARTIST/GROUP.
Today's clue: All three songs are TOP 10.
Play on...

I wanted to try this last night, but could not find "sweat" in any Sam Cooke lyrics. But here's my best shot.
Foreigner-Hot blooded (BLOOD) Sam Cooke-Chain gang (suggests to me SWEAT) Eric Clapton-Tears in heaven (TEARS)
Group: BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS
Hmmm...coulda done C & C Music Factory instead of Sam Cooke... ;D

Way to go Dave. You got the theme AND all three songs for 4 points. And the score: DJDave 37 Sat 25 dodger 25 Pete 23 Dawn 22 Railyn 19 Rali 15 KittyKat 10 Everybody Else 0 And Dave is starting to really pull away! Next game tomorrow.

Man, I thought I had it nailed down. I was rushing back here to give my answer. Again, not right (I know now), but comical......
Hot Blooded Cousin Of Mine I Shot The Sherriff
JERRY LEE LEWIS!!!!!! He was obviously hot blooded (and his biggest hit was Great Balls Of FIRE - which is hot), he married his cousin, and was accused in later years of shooting someone.
You could have also substituted Dirty White Boy for Hot Blooded (no explanation needed), and I Can't Stand It for I Shot The Sherriff because it killed his career marrying his cousin. Hey, Cousin Of Mine could work on another level because Jimmy Swaggert is his cousin!
Ok - I need some sleep now............
