I totally had to modify my post because after I wrote all my nonsense down you answered Adam.
So the theme is: Songs about wanting to return "home"? No, Railyn already guessed that.
Songs about returning to a particular east coast state?

If Sat got the theme right - Songs that mention NY state, then I think I can figure out two of the three song: I Am, I Said NY Mining Disaster But for Billy Joel I can't find a top 40 song that actually mentions New York specifically in the lyrics only several songs that mention parts of New York city. You May Be Right We Didn't Start The Fire Big Shot And I think I might have an idea about the other common theme but I don't want to put it out here until I know if Sat's right about the theme. So is the theme actually songs that mention NY state or parts NYC? No, Kitty. You need to read the last 4-5 posts. |

OK, we're getting out of hand. To try to review what we know so far.
Earlier, Sat asked if the theme was "states", and I gave him 1 point and said yes, that is nearly correct, but certain kinds of states.
Then we established that one song is Massachusetts by the Bee Gees, but we also established that all the songs are not about Massachusetts.
I've recently given a free clue: Lora, Pete, Dawn.
So come on, guys.... Don't make me wait.

I know this!!! Kentucky, Massachusetts, and Virginia are all Commonwealths. Pennsylvania is the only other state that is considered a commonwealth. YAY! At least I got 2 points.  |
