I'm going to try to do this from time to time - or whenever I can think of one. ;D

We all know how (c)rap "music" often "samples" other songs. But long before there was rap, songs would often make references to other songs within their lyrics.

I'm going to name a referenced song, and you tell me what song makes the reference.

What song makes a reference to the Clovers' "Love Potion #9" ??

Not bad, Railyn, it obviously is a skewed reference, but this one is a closer reference (says #9).

Another clue:

The artist uses the reference to get a rhyme. The rhyme is with the word "potion"

I thought of that, tried to find the lyrics on line, finally found one site with them, and they made no mention of it.......
