And Game #9 will be a tough one (I think, but then again you guys always seem to come through)
This will be a 6 point game. Four songs. Each one is a component of the whole. -- and you'll have to put the songs in the right order for the Theme to make sense.. (That oughtta keep you busy. ;D )
..and the artists are:
Johnny Rivers Dick and DeeDee The Four Seasons The Beatles
Name That Theme!

OK...this appears to be even tougher than I thought. Several of you have looked at the puzzle (or a couple of people have looked at it multiple times), but no one has yet hazarded a guess yet (or even lodged a complaint).
I will be giving you some clues in about an hour or two (at which time, the maximum points one person can earn will drop from six to five).
For now, here is a suggestion. Since the Beatles, Seasons and even Johnny Rivers had many top 40 songs, try to start with Dick and DeeDee. They only had a few, and would be easier to deal with. -Oh, and to keep you from going down a dead end path, the Theme does not have to do with mountains.

OK guys. We are getting nowhere. The only one posting is me. You need some clues. Here are three. 1. The only top ten song in the group of four is by Johnny Rivers. 2. You don’t have to go to the lyrics to get the theme components. They can all be figured out from the titles, and in one case, the words for the clue component are right in the title. 3. The theme components, divided into groups of two once made up the titles of two successful TV miniseries, taken from two novels of the same names. Maximum that one person can score in this game is down to 5 points.

You have won several in the past. ..and speaking of the past.. Two people who were right up there in last year's game, Dawn and Kitty, have yet to post. Let's go, ladies! ;D

Wow, I knew of the Rich Man, Poor Man series I & II (which were on when I was, like, 6..) But I'd never heard of the Beggar Man, Thief series.. Go figure... You did this WITHOUT your Whitburn? Actually. Rich Man, Poor Man was an 8 part, 12 hour miniseries. (1976), Rich Man, Poor Man Book II was a regular TV series (1976-77) that lasted 21 episodes. Beggarman, Thief was only a two part, 4 hour minisieries (1979). That information is courtesy imdb.com -- Actually, I remember Beggarman, Thief, but I completely forgot about RM,PM Book II until I looked it up.
