Cathedral
(Sorry it took so long for me to finish this--I didn't have much computer time this weekend!)

Bumping this one up with a hint:
The second Cher song here was also done by Shirley Bassey. (thanks, allmusic.com, for the info)

Gypsies, tramps and thieves? The way of love? We all sleep alone? OK. "The Way of Love" is correct for the second one (I have Charlie Peacock's song on his CD "Into the Light"), so I'll give that to you. Now the first one (Blackmore's Night and Cher)?

I had to go to hardrockhouse.com to get the answer (the only site that had a track listing of Blackmore's album) And fortunately, I do know some of Cher's albums, so I have:
All because of you

Very good, Dave! I have both of those on CD. I'm surprised you didn't find it on amazon.com, though--I know there are some Blackmore's Night albums on there. Anyway, you found it, so it's your turn!

Leo Sayer Nigel Olsson Smithereens I will take a wild, WILD guess on the second one: The Smithereens have a song called "A Girl Like You" and that is a very common phrase in song titles and lyrics. So that's what I'm gonna guess. Am I right?

Right on the second half!
The first half may be tough, but some here I feel know the Leo Sayer title.
