Peter and The Wolf - Weird Al Yankovic 27 minutes and 52 seconds long - from the album of the same name. A track that has special meaning to me, and without which. I likely wouldn't be on The Click today! Railyn knows. Wow, I haven't heard of that--but it would be worth checking out! Jonathan had a tape by Dave Von Ronk (sp?) that has a jugband version of "Peter and the Wolf". *making mental note to check and see if we still have that tape--it's a good one* Actually when I asked this question I was thinking of the Allman Bros.' "Mountain Jam", which is OVER A HALF HOUR LONG, but it's a very enjoyable track and doesn't really seem like it's as long as it is. (It's from the album "Eat a Peach"--I just got the CD recently. I believe the length on that particular song is 33:48 or something like that. I'm at work and the CD is at home, but I'll check later.) I remember reading about the Rolling Stones having to change "Let's Spend the Night Together" to "Let's Spend Some Time Together" for TV airing purposes--I don't know if they ever recorded that version, though, so does that count? Also, Ed, I remember you mentioned a song called "Bend It" that would fit this question also (still haven't heard it yet, lol). Anyway, here's a "fun" question for you all: Name a song with the word "fun" in the title. Just to fill in on the Peter and the Wolf history. It's from a very obscure Weird Al album that also includes a multi tracked segment called "Carnival of the Animals". I actually found P&W on Napster several years ago and listed it on a YL list of favorite Weird Al songs. Railyn, who as you know is a big Weird Al fan asked me where I found it, and I offered to burn her a copy, which I did. She responded by sending me four Weird Al CDs ! (Railyn is like that! ) Therefore, since she knew my real name, when YL folded, she was able to locate me and tell me about ML. If I hadn't been on ML, I likely would have never learned about the Click from Dawn. So Peter and the Wolf has very special meaning to me. Laura, I don't believe the Stones recorded "Let's Spend Some Time Together" - they weren't very happy having to sing it that way. But "Bend It" is an excellent choice and I am both amazed and impressed that you remembered that I had mentioned that once. To answer your question: "Hot Fun In the Summertime" Sly and the Family Stone. Name a song that has the word "Help" in the title, other than --- Help!

..."Bend It" is an excellent choice and I am both amazed and impressed that you remembered that I had mentioned that once. Actually, I go back and read a LOT of old posts here! I don't know if that's really impressive--or if it just means I have a lot of time on my hands! They are fun to re-read. That's a great one--I recently got Sly's "Anthology" and that's my favorite song on it. Actually the first song I thought of was "You Make Loving Fun" by Fleetwood Mac (I just got their live CD "The Dance"), but I know there are a lot of "fun" songs. "Help is On Its Way"-Little River Band Name a song by a band containing a member who was only with that band for one album. (preferably, name a song that the particular person in question played and/or sang on, but if you can't think of any, than just name any song from the band)

Well, most people are probably gonna say blue & red, so I'm gonna be different and say purple & white: "Purple Haze"-Jimi Hendrix "White Room"-Cream Groovy psychedelic '60s music, man! And if you put purple + white together, you still get purple, albeit a lighter shade of purple. Sort of an opinion question now: Name a song that has depressing lyrics, but it has such a good beat that it makes you wanna dance. (The first song I thought of was "If I Had a Rocket Launcher" by Bruce Cockburn"--but now you can't use that one, because I used it as an example. )
