James Dean - The Eagles Name a song by a group with a number in it's name that does NOT stand for the number of band members. I had predicted someone would say "James Dean". Actually the first song that came to my mind was "River" by Natalie Merchant. That's about River Phoenix. And speaking of Natalie... "Because the Night"-10,000 Maniacs I'm gonna vary this a bit and do albums this time instead of songs. Is that ok? Name 2 different acts that both had albums with the same title (not including "Live" or "Greatest Hits" or "MTV Unplugged").

Yes, Laura, the Roving Kind's what I was playing excessively "She had a dark and a roving ey-y-ye, and her hair hung down in ring-e-lets...", that's the tune!
Duran Duran and Joan Jett both had albums titled "Notorious".
Name a song from the 1970's with five letters in the title.

Yes, Laura, the Roving Kind's what I was playing excessively "She had a dark and a roving ey-y-ye, and her hair hung down in ring-e-lets...", that's the tune! Duran Duran and Joan Jett both had albums titled "Notorious". I think Mitch Miller also did "The Roving Kind"-if I'm remembering right, that's who's on our sheet music. (I'll have to find that...) I wondered what someone would come up with for 2 albums with the same title! I knew if Adam got here first, it would be "Evolution"! But actually, the title I had in mind was "Play". The group Squeeze had an album with that name, and jazz artists Bobby McFerrin and Chick Corea did a live album together with that name. I have both the Squeeze and the McFerrin/Corea CD's. "Alive"-Bee Gees (for some reason, this is the first song that came to mind although I haven't heard it in ages--it IS from the '70s, isn't it? That's when I first heard it, anyway!) Name a song title with at least 2 different words beginning with H. The title does not have to begin with H, but at least 2 words must. (There are a lot of these!)

I'm quite sure Mitch did the Roving Kind; sounds like that type of "Sing along" song. Also familiar with the Weavers doing it.
I wanted to make it harder by also saying that the group also had to have five letters in it, but then, "Magic" by Pilot would be the only choice, I believe.
Anyway, for the H song: Hole in my heart-Genesis
Name one of the nine #1 songs from 1973 sung by a woman.

Name any #1 song with the word "Secret" in the title. I am gonna take a wild shot in the dark and say "Secret Love" by Doris Day. It wasn't listed at all in the Whitburn book of top 40 hits (which is all I could find of this kind of book) here in the library--possibly because the song is too old? Let me know if I'm right and then I'll post the next question.

Yes, a #1 song in February 1954. Most Whitburn books only go back to 1955, but there were Billboard singles charts since July 1940.

"Broccoli" from "The Electric Company"! Gotta love those PBS kids' shows! (I'm assuming the title is "Broccoli", it may be "The Broccoli Song" or something like that--I don't know...)
Even though I love U2, I have never heard "Lemon". Which album is that from?
Here's one that sounds rather hard--but when you think about it, there are lots of these:
Name a song by a band whose drummer's last name is also a common everyday word. (And it has to be the same spelling. For instance, Ringo Starr doesn't count.)

I Can See For Miles - The Who (Original Drummer, the late Keith Moon) Name a song that has been recorded by a soloist, a duo, and a group. Very good--Keith Moon was the first name I thought of! Then there's Karen Carpenter, Nigel Twist from the Alarm, and Robert Sweet from Stryper, just to name a few. "Everlasting Love"--among others, there was Robert Knight, Rex Smith & Rachel Sweet, and U2. (I still like Robert Knight's version the best.) Name a song in which some or all of the words in the title are runtogetherlikethis.
