Name a top 40 song that was spoofed on Sesame Street. "Let it Be"-Beatles; the "Sesame Street" version was called "Letter B" and the Muppet group that sang it were the "Beetles". (Jonathan had this on a video tape of music videos from "Sesame Street".) Name a song that was the only top 100 hit for a guy with the first name John.

I thought of John Kongos first; then there's John O'Banion and a few others. Anyway, I don't have time right now to answer your latest one--I gotta go back to work. Fun, huh? But I'll look at the question again and keep it in mind. Wait...I have it! I'm listening to it right now! I have this on a jazz compilation: "Fly"-Groove Collective Name a song which has the phrase "touch me" in the lyrics, but NOT in the title. (there are lots of them)

I don't know why this was the first song that came to mind, when I haven't even heard it in nearly 20 years, LOL!
The sun always shines on TV-a-ha

"Stress"-Bourgeois Tagg
Name a cover of a Beatles song that hit the top 100, although the Beatles version did not. (Since the Beatles had a lot of well-known songs that weren't singles, there are probably quite a few of these.)

Michelle - David and Jonathan (peaked at #18 in 1966; Beatles version never released as single.) I remember back then listening to a MOR (A/C) radio station that was one of my mom's favorite stations. They played the David and Jonathan version, and then the DJ says something like" that was actually written by some of the BEATLES" in a tone that meant 'I can't believe that such a beautiful song could be written by a bunch of drug-taking, juvenile delinquent-enabling gutter scum.' Oh...I'm supposed to start another song, aren't I? Name a song that was specifically written for or to a specific person other than "You're So Vain"

Well, duh. "Take Me Out to the Ball Game". I don't know if anyone ever had a version that hit the charts (and you didn't say the song had to have hit the charts anyway, so there ), but I remember hearing one with a guy imitating Bruce Springsteen. That was rather cute. Name a song on which Vince Gill sang backup.

LOL! I just realized my husband has a few family connections with this song: His name is Paul;our son's name is Jonathan. So that's one name from each of these groups. And Paul has a cousin named...Michelle. BTW, if anyone cares, I changed my answer on the "songs that spent more than 10 weeks at #1" question.

Name a song that stayed MORE than ten weeks at #1 on Billboard's HOT 100. update: According to something I read on amazon.com, "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey w/Boyz II Men spent 16 weeks at #1. OK? I CHANGED MY ANSWER. THERE. ARE YOU HAPPY NOW? HUH? HUH? No. I'm not happy. And watch your shouting. But I do recall a moment on "Millionaire" where the contestant walked on the half-mill question stating what song spent the most weeks at #1 on Billboard, and of course I knew this right off. The other choices were "Macarena", "I will always love you", and "Candle in the wind 1997". Those 3 may have each sold over 4 million, but it was weeks on top that counted. Now onward with the game. A song that Gill sang backup: "No place that far"-Sara Evans ****************************************** Name a HIT song from the 50's, but from BEFORE 1955 with the word "kind" in the title. ;D (Man, I love sucking up to people when I listen to songs I LOVE as I listen....if that made any sense....

"The Roving Kind"-Guy Mitchell
I've got the sheet music to this somewhere; it was one my mom had. On a hunch, I did a Google search for the title and found out it hit #4 in 1951. My source says there were "competing versions" by the Weavers (#11) and Rex Allan (#20). Dave, is this the song you had in mind? Are there others that fit the description? (I can't think of any.) Well, moving on...
Name a song about a famous male movie star.
