Name a song that went all the way to number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 that is in a language other than English I'm pretty sure this one did: "Sukiyaki"-Kyu Sakamoto (sp.?) Name a COVER of a Simon & Garfunkel song OTHER THAN "Bridge Over Troubled Water". (Since lots of people have sung that one, I decided omit it, in order to make this a bit more challenging.)

Oh, and BTW, Laura, the "real" title of several of your "Mack The Knife" entries is Mauritat (Theme form Three Penny Opera) - but it's the same song. - and a great answer. Excuse me, but ALL of these were listed under "Mack the Knife" in the book I looked at in the library.

*bumping this one up--c'mon people this game is fun--remember the question is: name a cover of a Simon & Garfunkel song other than "Bridge over Troubled Water"*

Actually, the 4-line ad nauseum song I was thinking of was Hotlegs "Neanderthal man", but yes, "Fly robin fly" works too! And Ed is right on the fact that when the INSTRUMENTAL versions of "Mack the knife" was released in early 1956, they were called "Moritat", the biggest of which hit #8 for Dick Hyman.
Now for the Simon & Garfunkel tune: A hazy shade of winter-Bangles
Name a song with exactly five words in the title not beginning with "The" by a group (Not a soloist or duo) whose name has at least FOUR words in it--NOT containing "And", "And the" or starting with "The".

Actually, the 4-line ad nauseum song I was thinking of was Hotlegs "Neanderthal man"... I know I've at least heard part of that; I can't remember if I've heard the whole thing, but I didn't know there were just 4 lines. It's been a while since I've heard it. Are you saying that your next one could possibly have "the" in the group name, just not at the beginning? 2 bands that immediately came to mind are Days of the New and Toad the Wet Sprocket, but I've been racking my brain through the songs I know by them and can't think of any w/5 words. I am at the library now, but I'll wait a while before I go running for their reference books. I'll bet if I think hard enough, I may be able to come up with one.

That's right, Laura. Just can't BEGIN with "The", so groups like "Toad the Wet Sprocket" will do.
And the ENTIRE lyrics of "Neanderthal man", repeated I believe at least 12 times...
I'm a neanderthal man You're a neanderthal girl Let's make neanderthal love in this neanderthal world

"Keep Your Hands to Yourself"-Georgia Satellites Name a song by someone with the initials BS. I see you didn't fall into my trap of " east of the Mississippi other than Kansas", Laura. Well done. Hungry Heart - Bruce Springsteen Name a song whose title describes something sweet, but uses neither the word "sweet" nor "sugar" or derivatives thereof.

Name a song whose title describes something sweet, but uses neither the word "sweet" nor "sugar" or derivatives thereof. Well, Billie Holiday had a song called "Me, Myself and I", and I COULD use that. 'Cause I'm sweet. (Well, when I want to be.) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Seriously, though... "Cherry Pie"-Sade I know this is a "Name _A_ song" game, but I'll do one where you name 2 songs. Adam, is that ok? If not, let me know and I'll promise not to do it again. Name 2 songs by the same artist in which both titles are in the form of a question. Got that?
