Just got back from the Experience Music Project, which I'll report on when we return home this weekend.
But meanwhile, a quick trivia question..
Jimi Hendrix, in his sadly brief career only one time opened for another act.
Who was that act?

Hey Hey it was the Monkees Well, you guys must know something that I don't know (not surprising), but also something that the Experience Music Project (EMP) doesn't know (or doesn't recognize, or whatever) According to the EMP which had the playbill in the exhibit, it was a different act - one not nearly with as much fame as the Monkees. BTW, also on the bill that night was none other than my ol' buddy Yusef Islam, as well as Englebert Humperdinck. But the headliner was another act.

The answer is --
The Walker Brothers - on their 1967 farewell tour.
