Andrew and I are going to the hockey game tonight. The Washington Capitals are making a bid to make the playoffs and have to beat the Carolina Hurricanes tonight to tie the 'Canes for the division lead. The team is asking all in attendance to wear red in support of the Capitals. Well .. I WILL be wearing a red Caps shirt. But I thought I'd really do it right and wear even more red. So in support of the Caps, last night I came down with a case of pink-eye.  So I am about to go to the doctors for some antibiotics. I believe I have made the connection on the following examples:
1. "Up The Ladder To The Roof" The Supremes - the first top ten hit without Diana Ross.
2. "Stand Up (Kick Love Into Motion)" Def Leppard
3. "Ups and Downs" Paul Revere & the Raiders
All these top 40 hits have direction in common. They all point upwards.

We're down to a four point game. It's been quiet here, Dave was the only person brave enough to try an answer. Where are the rest of you slouches?
Here are some clues.
1. None of the songs guessed thus far are correct.
2. All three songs are top 10.
3. You need the lyrics in one song; the titles are all you need for the other two.
4. Each song provides a component of the theme.

Good enough to get one point. You've got two songs there, but one for slightly the wrong reason. Keep at it. |

You got one song right for the right reason and you got the second song right for the wrong reason. You get one point, and likely some important information. You are about as close as Laura was to the theme, and also have two songs but are not quite on the meaning with one of them. I think if one of you is able to get the third song, you'd get the theme. |
