I am so excited! One week from today, Martina will come out with her first new music in 2 years, and her first full studio album in 4 years.
Simply titled "Martina", she says the album is just typical Martina music, and is sort of a throwback in style to her Evolution album (her biggest selling and many say best album).
The first single and video have been out for awhile, and is at number 6 on the Country charts. Entitled This One's For the Girls, she got background vocal help from Faith Hill, Carolyn Dawn Johnson and her two daughters. She has already been featuring another song, In My Daughter's Eyes, in concert. (She sang this when I saw her in July) The final track is a live rendition of Over the Rainbow. All due respect to Judy, Martina does a killer version of this.
Wal-Mart is selling copies of the album with a bonus track! Guess where I will be buying my copy??
ALSO: On the same day, she is putting out her second DVD. It only features 6 videos, the 4 new songs from her Greatest Hits, This One's For the Girls, and her signature tune, Independence Day. Because it contains half the videos of her first release, it is budget priced.
As soon as I listen to it all the way through, I will be reviewing it on the album board! In honor of the release, on the 30th, I will be reviewing Evolution!
