Can you believe it?? One year from today, Elvis will be 70!!! So in a sortof way, rock and roll will be 70 years old. YIKES! Happy birthday to a legend who left us too soon, but left us with a lot of great music and memories.

Happy Birthday, Elvis! As a tribute to the King's birthday, a local radio station is teaming up with a gas station in town, and is selling gas for 6.9¢ a gallon this coming Saturday. They're calling it "Elvis Gives You Gas".

Due to the fact that the alien flying saucer on which Elvis has been living since 1977 passes through several tears in the space/time continuum, he hasn't aged as rapidly as the rest of us.

Besides, rock and roll existed before him...if ya want to get technical about it.

6.9 a gallon!?!? That's insane!!! (and tempting. I wish I lived where you lived! Cheapest fill-up ever!) That is a great deal--the thing is, you have to be registered to get it for that price--the radio station was registering people all this week. I tried to get through and be the right caller a few times, but I was never able to. So I guess I'll miss out on the cheap gas. Oh well...
