I thought some of you might be interested in this, and I'm considering getting it myself when it's available in the US. Christine McVie has a new solo album coming out called "In The Meantime". It is to be released in the UK on June 21 and here on July 27. What I've read about it sounds really good and Christine looks great on the cover!

Sounds cool-and you're right, that's probably the best I have ever seen her look!

Sounds cool-and you're right, that's probably the best I have ever seen her look! I just think it's weird though. She didn't participate in the Fleetwood Mac album or tour because she's tired of the rock-and-roll life, and now she's out with a solo album? I mean, I suppose it's different working on an album on your own and collaborating with your bandmates, but still.

I think that was a big problem-she didn't like the road.

It's not mine." For Christine is was about getting to write the music, I think. That was the part she got the most out of. And she gets co-writing credit on all but two songs from her new disc.

Well cool, she's getting to do what she wants! Definitely cool. It's just weird having Fleetwood Mac and Christine as separate entities now. I read a quote from her though, which I thought was a testament of the bond they all still share. She said, "There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about Fleetwood Mac."

Thanks, Lora - that's great news! I have her first solo album, from 1984, but didn't realize she was releasing a new one. I agree, she looks wonderful!

What do you think of the other album? It's very good - I would definitely recommend it. It sounds very similar in style to her work from Mirage, and Lindsey and Mick both guest on it. I've always thought her second single, Love Will Show Us How, should have charted higher than it did (#30) - it's very well done.

I think I'll just wait for this new one, and if I like it, then I'll search out the other one. I'd also like to find the Buckingham Nicks album.

I got a quick listen of the first few tracks at Barnes & Noble a few days ago. The first song, Friend, has already been released as a single. Sounds really great. I think it'll be a favorite when I finally get this album.
The US release has been pushed back. I don't know about the UK release though. Anyway, it won't be out until September 7. Grr...I was hoping to get the album for my birthday this weekend.
