Mellencamp 2 disc collection-it's COMPLETE!!!

Ok, that Best I Could Do collection just wasn't good enough for me. Not only did it stop before Whenever We Wanted, but it left off earlier "lesser" charting hits. (I say "lesser" like that because I didn't look at Hand to Hold On to as a lesser hit.)

Well gang, weep no more! This collection has those early "lesser" tracks, goes through Whenever We Wanted, Dance Naked, Human Wheels, etc, right up to his most recent stuff!

Sure, I would like to see Warmer Place to Sleep, Close Enough & Play Guitar, but Mellencamp was so AM friendly, that he had tons of hits, and I can't complain that those album tracks were left off. (They still don't get the FM play his hits get.)

Would have liked to see the tracks in order, but what can you do?

The only other thing I would have loved was the B side of Cherry Bomb, Shama Lama Ding Dong as a bonus track!

I was checking this out last week on CD Universe and it's a great collection! I thought that the songs would have been in order as well.


I saw John on John McEnroe's show on MSNBC a couple of days ago and he sang I believe it was Walk Tall.

"Shama Lama" is a great track - it would have been cool if they added his covers of Pretty Ballerina and Under The Boardwalk as well - but then it probably would have a three disc set - LOL.

It's basically ALL you need.

I don't think it's any higher priced because of the additional DVD.
