Legendary blues and jazz guitarist Jeff Healey has died, his publicist said Sunday. The Canadian musician had battled cancer his entire life. I'm normally into the same music as my father, but I'd sadly never heard of this guy until last night. He was considered a legend though, so my condolences to his family, friends, and fans.

I heard about Jeff's passing on the late evening news last night. I felt terrible and very sad. I knew Jeff had been battling with Cancer, but I thought that he would pull through. I remember hearing the first album "See The Light" back in 1988, my oldest brother had the CD, and let me borrow it, I was blown away and I've been a big fan of his ever since then. Jeff was an amazing and very gifted guitar player. RIP Jeff

This was...and still is sad news. Great bluesy guitarist and an amazing songwriter who will be sadly missed. While the film "Roadhouse" was less than quality, Healy's appearance and guitar playing was perfect. I can only imagine what more he could have done had he been given more time on the planet.
