Let's see how our opinions match up for this portion. ;D
6480. You Belong to the City-Glen Frey 1985 I never liked this song. In fact there's only a couple of his solo stuff that I like, even though he was one of my fave Eagle songwriters.
6479. You're the First, the Last, My Everything-Barry White 1974/75 A great tune, expertly arranged.
6478. Bridge Over Troubled Water-Simon & Garfunkel 1970 One of my least favorite songs from this duo, but I've liked every cover version I've ever heard, especially Aretha Franklin's. I guess it's just Art's voice that bugs.
6477. Darkness on the Edge of Town-Bruce Springsteen 1978 Not familiar enough with the tune.
6476. Family Man-Fleetwood Mac 1988 Not one of their best.
6475. Lies-Thompson Twins 1983 I too hated the video but I like the song. Not my fave from them though.
6474. Let Her in-John Travolta 1976 Guilty pleasure. I love the "hmm hmm's" he does. Sooooo cheesy.
6473. The War Song-Culture Club 1984 Kinda lame.
6472. Always & Forever-Heatwave 1978 Wow, I'm surprised at the low placement on this one. A classic track that I love. 9th grade graduation song. ;D
6471. Red Red Wine-UB40 1984/88 A likeable tune, although I never understood why/how it was released twice.
6470. Robert DeNiro's Waiting-Bananarama 1984 Oh, this is kind of fun.
6469. Groovy Kind of Love-Phil Collins 1988 I remember liking this cover when it was released.
6468. Let's Work!-Mick Jagger 1987 No.
6467. Mony Mony (Live)-Billy Idol 1987 True that it doesn't touch Tommy's version. But at least he picked up HUGE royalty checks for it.
6466. Lady-Kenny Rogers 1980 Not one of my faves from him. Has Lionel Richie's stamp all over it.
6465. Two Hearts-Phil Collins 1988/89 Again, I remember liking this when it came out.
6464. To Be Loved-Jackie Wilson 1958 I like this one from Jackie. I like Eddie's version too.
6463. Taken in-Mike & the Mechanics 1986 It's true, you never hear this anymore. I like Paul's voice on it though.
6462. Suspicions-Eddie Rabbitt 1979 Not my fave from him but not bad.
6461. Chain Gang-Sam Cooke 1960 It's never bugged me but I also have never really listened to it that much except when it's used in films and on tv.

6480. I like Glenn's music, not this one as much. I sure hope "Patytown"'s on the way! 6479. My fave of Barry's! What upbeat disco orchestration and cool ladies cooing! 6478. I have REALLY grown to love this recently. A genuine masterpiece. 6477. Great song! BRUUUUUUCE! 6476. Not too bad--certainly not overplayed like "Little Lies" and "Everywhere"! 6475. Just the opposite of your comment, Sat. 6474. I want a copy of that videoclip from Bandstand! NOW!!!! 6473. I heard this song died VERY fast. I liked it back then simply because it was...well, Culture Club. Not one I play much today. 6472. Does nothing much for me either. Their disco tunes were MUCH better. 6471. You couldn't have the 80's without it. And I liked it more in '84 than '88, yet it was #1 for me likewise in '88! Go figure! 6470. I absolutely dig these chicks. Always have. One of their few I don't have yet. 6469. Taken as a song itself, it's not that bad. But Just the mention of Phil's name in '88...BOOM! A #1 hit. Gimme a break please. 6468. This isn't too bad! But you wanted to include this song and not something from Whitney? All right... 6467. Now PLEASE don't tell me you have the studio version up a LOT higher! I am so against hearing the studio version at clubs and parties (you figure it out...), yet the live version ROCKS SO MUCH more!!!!! And I was ecstatic to see it on a Madacy collection a few years ago! You go Billy! 6466. Easily my least fave of Kenny's. But the chicks loved it--enough to be #1 for 6 weeks. I may never like it in fact. Oh, I hope if there's a get-together EVER, I wanna see that LRB "Lady" dance with Bekki! 6465. This was quite good--you can tell it's a Motown styled tune, because Lamont Dozier produced it! 6464. One of the many great ones from Mr. Excitement! 6463. Sat, I LOVE this tune! Though seldom on radio today, I get quite an itching for this on my cassettes every now and then. 6462. I love every song of Eddie's, no exception here. 6461. Sam Cooke's the soul man! Awesome!

6480. You Belong to the City-Glen Frey 1985 I've never heard this all the way through, but what I have heard of it, I've liked. 6479. You're the First, the Last, My Everything-Barry White 1974/75 This song by him I LIKE! 6478. Bridge Over Troubled Water-Simon & Garfunkel 1970 I got VERY sick of this song back when it was new and being played as the every 5th song of every hour! (At least!) However, now that I am away from all that, I can actually listen and enjoy it once a year. LOL! In any case, I was impressed that Art could still hit those notes when I heard him sing it on a 9-11/Memorial Day special on PBS. 6477. Darkness on the Edge of Town-Bruce Springsteen 1978 Not a fan AND I never heard this... 6476. Family Man-Fleetwood Mac 1988 I think I've heard this (Maybe) but I don't remember it. 6475. Lies-Thompson Twins 1983 This title only makes me think of the Knickerbockers song 6474. Let Her in-John Travolta 1976 Yuck! Never liked it; never will 6473. The War Song-Culture Club 1984 Never heard it... 6472. Always & Forever-Heatwave 1978 Pretty song 6471. Red Red Wine-UB40 1984/88 One of the few 80s songs I actually know (But I don't care for it really) 6470. Robert DeNiro's Waiting-Bananarama 1984 I've only heard "Venus" by them 6469. Groovy Kind of Love-Phil Collins 1988 I like this version as well as the original (But I like the original more) 6468. Let's Work!-Mick Jagger 1987 Never heard it--and the video does not sound like I'd care to see it either 6467. Mony Mony (Live)-Billy Idol 1987 I really don't care for either version of this song 6466. Lady-Kenny Rogers 1980 It's nice (Now that it's off the charts. See "Bridge") 6465. Two Hearts-Phil Collins 1988/89 Catchy little tune! 6464. To Be Loved-Jackie Wilson 1958 Hmm! A Jackie Wilson song I know not! 6463. Taken in-Mike & the Mechanics 1986 >>Didn't hear it too much then, never hear it now.<< And I never heard it at all... 6462. Suspicions-Eddie Rabbitt 1979 I like this, I think, as much as the original (Assuming that memory is correct and it IS the same song. LOL!) 6461. Chain Gang-Sam Cooke 1960 >>This one always annoyed me, and then when I worked at Blockbuster one summer, there was a movie trailer where a bunch of guys were singing this while working and it REALLY annoyed me!!<< Well, if I had your expierience I would hate it too! However, this is my least favorite of his songs....

Just got done doing s 55 hour week. WHEW! Lots of catch-up. Hope next week isn't as bad, but the 80 hour weeks are coming soon enough......(the extra money is nice, though). 6480. You Belong to the City-Glen Frey 1985 Eh - it's ok - another in an endless string of Miami Vice related songs..... 6479. You're the First, the Last, My Everything-Barry White 1974/75 Same old, same old 6478. Bridge Over Troubled Water-Simon & Garfunkel 1970 One of my mom's all-time favorites. 6477. Darkness on the Edge of Town-Bruce Springsteen 1978 Not familiar. 6476. Family Man-Fleetwood Mac 1988 Not familiar. I know the Hall and Oates Family Man song. 6475. Lies-Thompson Twins 1983 Probably my least favorite of theirs - the video really did suck. 6474. Let Her in-John Travolta 1976 Scuse me......HURRRRLLLLLL! 6473. The War Song-Culture Club 1984 I like this song, but the video of all the little kids in the skeleton suits creeped me out. 6472. Always & Forever-Heatwave 1978 Every time we go to Caesar's, they get this local band to come in (and at each resort - they're always there) and they're not bad, but they always play this song and say that if you don't get up and dance then you must not be in love. 6471. Red Red Wine-UB40 1984/88 I liked this one. 6470. Robert DeNiro's Waiting-Bananarama 1984 Love Banarama - this one's a bit mediocre - the Wedding part doesn't help clear the oddness of this song up any. 6469. Groovy Kind of Love-Phil Collins 1988 Umm, ew! 6468. Let's Work!-Mick Jagger 1987 I don't remember this one. Hope it's better than the Dancin' In The Streets duet. That sucked! I hate their yelling in the beginning....."SOUTH AMERICA". 6467. Mony Mony (Live)-Billy Idol 1987 Billy Idol was not an idiot - except when he decided to do this song. I begged my dj not to play it at my wedding, because around here the drunken idiots like to do the little chant......."say hey what get laid get f**ked". Its really annoying. 6466. Lady-Kenny Rogers 1980 LADY.........blah blah blah blah blablablah blaaaaah, blah blah blaaalhaaaa . Seriously, that's all I hear when I listen to that song. 6465. Two Hearts-Phil Collins 1988/89 Eh. We played a clip of this song in band. It was just one verse. Why, I don't know. The little stand music piece it was on was called "Rock Spots". Just clips of popular songs of the day. We used to say "Oh no, the dreaded rock spots!" like it was a disease. 6464. To Be Loved-Jackie Wilson 1958 That is a classic movie moment - "WHO CARES! SHUT UP!" 6463. Taken in-Mike & the Mechanics 1986 I have all their cd's. I like this song. 6462. Suspicions-Eddie Rabbitt 1979 Not familiar with this one. 6461. Chain Gang-Sam Cooke 1960 I was never fond of this one, but somebody re-made it in the 80's - Oingo Boingo or one of those - it gets played on Ultimate80s a lot. It's really annoying because there's this obnoxious voice that goes "OH I am soooooooo tired. How long can this go on?" between verses. You almost have to hear it to appreciate the sheer annoyingness.

You Belong to the City - Collectively, the Eagles were great, separated and solo, they were kinda ho-hum.
You're the First, the Last, My Everything - Actually like this one by Barry White, maybe my favorite by him
Bridge Over Troubled Water - Love Simon & Garfunkel, and this is a classic, but I like their 60s music & My Little Town are much better
Darkness on the Edge of Town - got this album on vinyl. The song is ok, just not a favorite.
Family Man - I prefer early Fleetwood Mac to the late 80s Fleetwood Mac
Lies - I only know a couple of Thompson Twin songs, and this isn't one of them.
Let Her in - Nothing John Travolta did musically, outside of Grease, is of any interest to me.
The War Song - No Thanks to anything by Culture Club
Always & Forever Having a hard time placing this song, I guess it wasn't that good.
Red Red Wine - I have this song on a couple of reggae compilations by other artists. Their versions of this song are much better.
Robert DeNiro's Waiting - ?
Groovy Kind of Love - Ok, I like this but it's not as good as the original or some of the other songs Phil made.
Mony Mony (Live) - This maybe the worst cover of all time.
Lady - Was ok at first, but after hearing it every hour on the radio, got sick of it.
Two Hearts - Another song that isn't all that bad
To Be Loved - ?
Taken in - ?
Suspicions - Eddie Rabbitt was one of those country artists I really liked, just didn't like this song
Chain Gang - Good song from Sam Cooke

LOL wow - I don't think I've seen it since it was first released. That's what makes VH-1 Classic so good!

Groovy Kind of Love-Phil Collins 1988 I remember liking this cover when it was released. 6472. Just not my style. It also is probably because my ex-stepmother liked it! 6469. This was one of Martina's wedding songs. I'm so disappointed in her!

6462. Suspicions-Eddie Rabbitt 1979 I like this, I think, as much as the original (Assuming that memory is correct and it IS the same song. LOL!) 6462. Are you thinking of the song by Elvis and Terry Stafford? That's a different tune.
