Maybe this could become at least a semi-regular feature. Listing old songs you recently discovered and like! I know Dawn discovers a lot of songs on those TV music stations.
I have three to share below!
1. Tell All the People-Doors I discovered this on the Legacy 2 disc set. What a good song! I'm not the biggest Doors fan, but I think I like this because it has the "typical" 60's sound, not Jim's way out there sound. I think it gets overlooked because it is on the unpopular Soft Parade album.
2. Sad Cafe-Eagles Man, I had The Long Run for years on vinyl and never listened to this! The Timeless Rock station MAY have played this, but I really learned it from their 2 disc collection. Cool mellow tune.
3. Hang On to Your Life-Guess Who Just discovered this over the weekend and inspired this post! On greatest hits where I know most songs, I tend to just listen to those. Well I hit Random on my player on Saturday and heard this one! That was the same way I discovered a cool Buckinghams song. Anyway, this one is awesome and I was so surprised to find out it was a single that just missed the top 40!

Great Idea 1.Tell All The People - I remember buying the cassette of Soft Parade back in the 80's (I have it on CD now as well) for two reasons 1. Because I didn't have it yet and 2. It was a very reasonable price - woo hoo! My cousin and I really dug this album at the time - and I still really enjoy it now:) 2. The Sad Cafe - Isn't that a great tune? I believe the first time I heard it was on the radio in the 80's ? Even though my brother bought the vinyl back in '79 /'80 - the only songs I paid attention to at that time were the hits. So I borrowed it from him and included it on a mix tape I was making at that time. 3. Hang on To Your Life - I remember my middle brother and my cousin playing the first best of collection of The Guess Who over and over when I was a kid - they wore it out big time! An excellent track from the guys and it gets alot of airplay here:) What best of CD do you have Adam? I have the 2 CD Set from '88 called Track Record - The Guess Who Collection .Which I think was also released in the U.S.

Cool feature idea!
'Tell All the People' is one I'm not familiar with, but would like to check out. Unfortunately, the classic rock stations pretty much stick with the well-known songs, but I've heard a few lesser-known ones on the Music Choice channels.
'The Sad Cafe' is a great song, but for some reason, I didn't like it much when I first heard it, on their Greatest Hits Vol. 2, back in the mid 80s. It's really grown on me since then.
'Hang on to Your Life' - I can relate about the greatest hits collections! This group had some excellent songs that, like this one, should have done better chartwise than they did. This is on the Anthology I got for Christmas.

It's the one that came out in 99 and has a very young pic of the band on the front. It has 18 of their 21 Hot 100 hits.

Neat feature.... Tell All The People - I don't like The Doors and even with your reccomendation I highly doubt I'd like it but I may check it out. Sad Cafe - One of my faves from them actually. I always thought it was pretty popular back when The Long Run was released but I guess not. Hang On To Your Life - Hmmm...I don't know if I know this one. I have a GH collection from them but I don't think this is on it.
