Started a new tourney today, and I will be doing another Hall of Fame discussion on the Rock-n-Roll board!
5457. Guinnevere-Crosby, Stills & Nash 1969 (new addition)
Never loved this, but wanted to include it since it is such a great album!
5456. Your Everything-Keith Urban 1999 (new addition)
Like I said yesterday, Keith is pretty decent. I won't turn him off.
5455. Sherry-Frankie Valli & Four Seasons 1962
One of their signature tunes, but I'm tired of it.
5454. Aqualung-Jethro Tull 1971
For some reason, their signature tune. There are others that are better.
5453. Hang on Sloopy-McCoys 1965
Fun 60s song, but overplayed.
5452. Social Disease-Bon Jovi 1986
Yes, another album cut from Slippery When Wet. I really loved that album back then.
5451. Walking After Midnight-Patsy Cline 1957 (new addition)
Yes Kitty, it's ranked this low! I like Patsy and respect her, just not someone I go out of my way to listen to.
5450. Ain’t Nothing ‘Bout You-Brooks & Dunn 2001 (new addition)
These guys are ok. Similar to Keith Urban-won't turn it on, won't turn it off.
5449. Lovin’ All Night-Patty Loveless 2003 (new addition)
Another Bluegrass effort from Patty. I really respect her.
5448. Been To Canaan-Carole King 1972/73
Love Carole King, but this is one of her lesser singles.
5447. Say Good-bye-Tammy Cochran 2001 (new addition)
Yes ballad from this newer country singer.
5446. I Made it Through the Rain-Barry Manilow 1980/81
Good, but I like the early stuff better.
5445. Shake a Hand-Paul McCartney 1999
One of the covers on Paul's ALMOST all covers album, Run Devil, Run. Incidentally, H2 & Dodger, I think you'd enjoy this album!
5444. Pop a Top-Alan Jackson 1999 (new addition)
Alan's good, but this is a bit corny.
5443. Love You Inside Out-Bee Gees 1979 (new additon)
No, this wasn't on the list before. I never knew it, and I think it was a number 1 single! Not bad and not overplayed (obviously).
5442. Peaceful, Easy Feeling-Eagles 1972/73
This really is a nice song, just killed by classic rock radio.
5441. Down in the Boondocks-Billy Joe Royal 1965
Cool song that I think is dying out on oldies radio.
5440. Burn-Deep Purple 1974 (new addition)
One of the two most popular cuts from the Coverdale lineup. More metal than many Purple cuts, actually.
5439. Glamorous Life-Sheila E. 1984
I really think she had good singles! This being my least fave of 3.
5438. The Letter-Joe Cocker 1970
Sorry, I prefer the Box Tops.
Have at it!
