Only 5 new that are modern country! LOL!
5417. Wild One-Faith Hill 1994 (new addition)
Not the Thin Lizzy song! LOL! No, this was back when Faith was a country singer, not a pop diva more concerned with her hair style than her music.
5416. Red Dirt Road-Brooks & Dunn 2003 (new addition)
These guys aren't bad, but they are monopolizing the Duo of the Year awards every year!
5415. Walk Like a Man-Frankie Valli & Four Seasons 1963
Another one of their signature songs, but I still prefer the later 60s stuff.
5414. Cloud 9-Temptations 1968/69
From the time period where they were making more politically charged songs. A good period that isn't played as much on oldies radio. 5413. Long Black Limousine-Elvis 1969 (new addition)
Another 69 Memphis song. Sorta depressing when you think about what he's singing about!
5412. Waterfall E.L.O. 1975
Decent album cut I learned from the box set, but again, there are better cuts on that album. 5411. Romeo Delight-Van Halen 1980
Most Dave era stuff I love, but this one never really stood out. 5410. Honesty-Billy Joel 1979
Pleasant enough, but a touch bland for my tastes. 5409. Sad Memory-Buffalo Springfield 1967 (new addition)
As much as I love Richie Furay, this is one of the weaker tracks on an otherwise awesome album.
5408. Masterpiece-Carolyn Dawn Johnson 2001 (new addition)
If I am remembering correctly, this is a sad song about an entire family dying. Not the best from this great debut.
5407. Let Love Rule-Lenny Kravitz 1990
I was digging this Lenny stuff years before Are You Gonna Go My Way? exploded. 5406. Mine All Mine SheDaisy 2002 (new addition)
This song was featured in Sweet Home Alabama. One of their better songs, not as annoying as their other stuff.
5405. No Way Out-Jefferson Starship 1984
They were starting to teeter here. Not surprisingly, Kantner was on his way out.
5404. Come On, Let's Go-Ritchie Valens 1958
Nice, typical oldie. Doesn't do a whole lot for me. 5403. Will the Circle Be Unbroken-Loretta Lynn 1998(new)
Doesn't it seem like she should have recorded this earlier? Decent song.
5402. New Years Eve 1999 Alabama 1996 (new addition)
Yes, this was put out in 96. It's actually a pretty cool song, one of the few dealing with the turning of the year.
5401. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed-Allman Brothers 1970
Good instrumental that gets forgotten in favor of Jessica. 5400. Glory Days-Bruce Springsteen 1985
Wow I loved this when it first came out! But between MTV and top 40 radio playing it 6439 times, I got tired of it. 5399. She’s Always a Woman-Billy Joel 1978
Another typically bland Billy song. 5398. Put on Your Dancing Shoes-Steve Winwood 1988
One of the last songs put out from this album, but one of the better ones.
Have at it!

5417. Wild One-Faith Hill 1994 I don't know this but I think it would be great if it was the Thin Lizzy song. 5416. Red Dirt Road-Brooks & Dunn 2003 Don't know it. 5415. Walk Like a Man-Frankie Valli & Four Seasons 1963 Too corny. 5414. Cloud 9-Temptations 1968/69 This isn't played much at all. A great tune from them. 5413. Long Black Limousine-Elvis 1969 Don't know this one, at least by title. 5412. Waterfall E.L.O. 1975 Pretty good track 5411. Romeo Delight-Van Halen 1980 Haven't heard this since junior high 5410. Honesty-Billy Joel 1979 The only time I've ever liked this was when he sang it live. 5409. Sad Memory-Buffalo Springfield 1967 Surprised this one is so low on the list. It's decent. 5408. Masterpiece-Carolyn Dawn Johnson 2001 ? 5407. Let Love Rule-Lenny Kravitz 1990 Too Beatles-esque in a bad way for me. But better than his most recent stuff IMO. 5406. Mine All Mine SheDaisy 2002 Saw the movie, know the group's name, don't know the song. 5405. No Way Out-Jefferson Starship 1984 Don't recall this 5404. Come On, Let's Go-Ritchie Valens 1958 His best IMO 5403. Will the Circle Be Unbroken-Loretta Lynn 1998 I love Loretta, but this is kind of weak 5402. New Years Eve 1999 Alabama 1996 Never heard of it 5401. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed-Allman Brothers 1970 How many songs did they have with ladies names in them? 3? 4? 5400. Glory Days-Bruce Springsteen 1985 I liked this when it first came out too. 5399. She’s Always a Woman-Billy Joel 1978 Very pretty. 5398. Put on Your Dancing Shoes-Steve Winwood 1988 Pretty good and overlooked.

5417. Wild One-Faith Hill 1994 (new addition) Good song, probably my favorite from Faith.
5416. Red Dirt Road-Brooks & Dunn 2003 (new addition) I'm not familiar with this one, but I agree with you about their monopolizing the awards.
5415. Walk Like a Man-Frankie Valli & Four Seasons 1963 I much prefer their later material.
5414. Cloud 9-Temptations 1968/69 A Tempts classic - always great to listen to.
5413. Long Black Limousine-Elvis 1969 (new addition) Don't know it.
5412. Waterfall E.L.O. 1975 Good, but I agree that their are better ones on that album.
5411. Romeo Delight-Van Halen 1980 I know I've heard this, but I'm drawing a blank.
5410. Honesty-Billy Joel 1979 I liked this back in '79, but it's really grown on me in recent years. Nice one.
5409. Sad Memory-Buffalo Springfield 1967 (new addition) I don't think I've heard this one.
5408. Masterpiece-Carolyn Dawn Johnson 2001 (new addition) Not familiar.
5407. Let Love Rule-Lenny Kravitz 1990 I have a Lenny Kravitz CD I haven't listened to yet - I'll have it give it a listen.
5406. Mine All Mine SheDaisy 2002 (new addition) Don't know it.
5405. No Way Out-Jefferson Starship 1984 This is the last hit of theirs I really liked.
5404. Come On, Let's Go-Ritchie Valens 1958 Okay, but it doesn't really stand out for me either.
5403. Will the Circle Be Unbroken-Loretta Lynn 1998(new) I've never heard her version of this, but the song itself is a great country classic.
5402. New Years Eve 1999 Alabama 1996 (new addition) I haven't heard much of their later work - should check this out.
5401. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed-Allman Brothers 1970 Great song - love this one! At one time, I mistook it for a Santana song.
5400. Glory Days-Bruce Springsteen 1985 A classic album, but this did get overplayed back in the day.
5399. She’s Always a Woman-Billy Joel 1978 Very nice one from Billy.
5398. Put on Your Dancing Shoes-Steve Winwood 1988 Not one of my favorites from Steve.

5409. Sad Memory-Buffalo Springfield 1967 (new addition) As much as I love Richie Furay, this is one of the weaker tracks on an otherwise awesome album. I haven't heard this one. I just got Buffalo Springfield's "Retrospective" (a best-of compilation), and this one isn't on it. Some great stuff there, though! I have only had the CD for 4 days and have been listening to it _A LOT_ already! It has 12 songs on it, and someone on amazon.com said it should have more songs, because it is possible to fit more songs on a CD--I gotta agree with that! Oh, BTW, I went to a Christian rally (w/music and speeches) at a stadium in San Diego in 1992, and Richie Furay was one of the performers there. I couldn't see him when he was onstage, though, because my view of him was blocked by a huge speaker--so I could only see him if I stood up or moved over! That was frustrating. But it was still a great event.

5417. Wild One - Faith Hill
Great one. I used to really like her when she was an actual country singer. Hmm...much like Shania.
5416. Red Dirt Road - Brooks & Dunn
Not bad, but not one of my favorites.
5415. Walk Like a Man - Frankie Valli & Four Seasons
I know I've heard it, but I can't recall the tunes.
5414 - 5409. Don't know these.
5408. Masterpiece - Carolyn Dawn Johnson
The general concept of this song is way too depressing to make lyrics out of. Bad move.
5407. Let Love Rule - Lenny Kravitz
Don't know it.
5406. Mine All Mine - SheDaisy
Good.
5405. No Way Out - Jefferson Starship
Don't know it.
5404. Come On, Let's Go - Ritchie Valens
Again, don't know it.
5403. Will the Circle Be Unbroken - Loretta Lynn
I can't believe she didn't record this earlier either. I've got a lot of respect for her.
5402. New Years Eve 1999 - Alabama
Hmm...sounds interesting. Don't know it.
5401. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed - Allman Brothers
Don't know this one either.
5400. Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen
Blah. Make it go away.
5399. She’s Always a Woman - Billy Joel
I'll pass.
5398. Put on Your Dancing Shoes - Steve Winwood
Don't know it.

My recommendations-On the Way Home, Bluebird and ESPECIALLY Rock and Roll Woman. As great it is, there is even more good stuff on their regular albums! Two great songs not on Retrospective are Flying on the Ground is Wrong and Do I Have to Come Right Out and Say it.

May set a new record for "Don't know it"s today. 5417. Wild One-Faith Hill 1994 (new addition) Don't know it 5416. Red Dirt Road-Brooks & Dunn 2003 (new addition) Don't know it 5415. Walk Like a Man-Frankie Valli & Four Seasons 1963 Good early Four Seasons stuff. -- Although this was the third sound-alike (after Sherry and Big Girls...) - and they did have to vary their souund a little bit after this, and they did. 5414. Cloud 9-Temptations 1968/69 I love the Tempts, but they had a couple of songs in this time period (this one, Ball of Confusion and Runaway Child) that I didn't much care for. 5413. Long Black Limousine-Elvis 1969 (new addition) Don't know it 5412. Waterfall E.L.O. 1975 Don't know it 5411. Romeo Delight-Van Halen 1980 Don't know it 5410. Honesty-Billy Joel 1979 Not bad 5409. Sad Memory-Buffalo Springfield 1967 (new addition) Don't know it 5408. Masterpiece-Carolyn Dawn Johnson 2001 (new addition) Don't know it 5407. Let Love Rule-Lenny Kravitz 1990 Don't know it 5406. Mine All Mine SheDaisy 2002 (new addition) Don't know it 5405. No Way Out-Jefferson Starship 1984 Only heard it a couple of times; didn't impress. 5404. Come On, Let's Go-Ritchie Valens 1958 Not a bad song, but I bet that if Ritchie hadn't died the next year, this song would be long forgotten. 5403. Will the Circle Be Unbroken-Loretta Lynn 1998(new) Not bad. 5402. New Years Eve 1999 Alabama 1996 (new addition) Don't know it 5401. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed-Allman Brothers 1970 Don't know it 5400. Glory Days-Bruce Springsteen 1985 I don't mind this one at all. 5399. She’s Always a Woman-Billy Joel 1978 I like most of Billy's music, but I like some more than others. This is in the "others" category 5398. Put on Your Dancing Shoes-Steve Winwood 1988 Don't know it Are we done? You don't know how tiring it is to paste in the words "Don't know it" about 12 times.

5417. Wild One-Faith Hill 1994 (new addition) Gee, and I wanted to think it was the Bobby Rydell tune...actually not too bad.
5416. Red Dirt Road-Brooks & Dunn 2003 (new addition) They lost me by then.
5415. Walk Like a Man-Frankie Valli & Four Seasons 1963 Great tune, if not played too often.
5414. Cloud 9-Temptations 1968/69 Not crazy over it; prefer follow-up Run away child running wild.
5413. Long Black Limousine-Elvis 1969 (new addition) Again, may investigate.
5412. Waterfall E.L.O. 1975 Good tune!
5411. Romeo Delight-Van Halen 1980 Not bad.
5410. Honesty-Billy Joel 1979 Love this; shoulda stayed more than 4 weeks in the top 40.
5409. Sad Memory-Buffalo Springfield 1967 (new addition) Don't recall this.
5408. Masterpiece-Carolyn Dawn Johnson 2001 (new addition) That song title; gimme Atlantic Starr--even over the Temptations!
5407. Let Love Rule-Lenny Kravitz 1990 HATED this. At first, I thought he was scary to look at. But when "Mama said" came out; that all changed.
5406. Mine All Mine SheDaisy 2002 (new addition) Pass.
5405. No Way Out-Jefferson Starship 1984 WOO HOO! Best one on here today! Man, the summer '84 RULED and ROCKED! Even better than later "Starship" efforts.
5404. Come On, Let's Go-Ritchie Valens 1958 I like it, but prefer "Donna" and especially "La Bamba".
5403. Will the Circle Be Unbroken-Loretta Lynn 1998(new) Not familiar with this version. But I'm not into Loretta as much as other country ladies from long ago.
5402. New Years Eve 1999 Alabama 1996 (new addition) Don't recall this.
5401. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed-Allman Brothers 1970 I don't think I've heard it--should look it up.
5400. Glory Days-Bruce Springsteen 1985 Great tune--knew it a whole year before popularity!
5399. She’s Always a Woman-Billy Joel 1978 Nice, has grown on me a little; moreso than "Die young".
5398. Put on Your Dancing Shoes-Steve Winwood 1988 Great tune. Some college play.

Wild One--This song isn't bad. From back when I could tolerate her.
Red Dirt Road--It's ok. B & D tend to get on my nerves, though.
Walk Like a Man--Kind of annoying.
Cloud 9--Love this! A fave from the Temps.
Long Black Limousine--Don't know it.
Waterfall--Don't know it.
Romeo Delight--Never stood out for me either.
Honesty--Pretty good song.
Sad Memory--Not too familiar with the Springfield.
Masterpiece--Don't know it. Sounds too depressing anyway.
Let Love Rule--I really really really liked Lenny Kravitz back then. Love this song.
Mine All Mine--Don't think I know it.
No Way Out--My friend Barb could not get enough of this song back in the day, so I got tired of it in a hurry.
Come On Let's Go--Like it a lot.
Will the Circle Be Unbroken--Like this song, but I'm afraid I don't know this version of it.
New Year's Eve 1999--I had pretty much quit listening to Alabama at this point.
In Memory of Elizabeth Reed--No clue.
Glory Days--Liked it at first, but now it's just tiresome.
She's Always a Woman--Another one that got old fast.
Put on Your Dancing Shoes--Not a clue about this one.

Well, compared to the rest of the awesome album, it's just too slow. 5406. Did you see it on DVD? You shoulda checked the bonus features! 5401. I know of at LEAST 4.
