A little early today...... Only TWO new additions today, and they are country-but they are CLASSIC country! So today should make people happy! 5397. I Fall to Pieces-Patsy Cline 1961 (new addition) Yes, Lora & Kitty and whoever else, it's this low! LOL! I respect her, and her stuff is good, just nothing I'd put on much. 5396. Add it Up-Violent Femmes 1983 Wow, in 8th grade, the girls were all over this album! That's the only reason all us guys knew it. We had to tolerate it if we wanted to get anywhere. 5395. Stand By Your Man-Tammy Wynette 1968/69 (new addition) And now the next "First Lady of Country". Good song, well sung, but I loved the live cover version from last year MUCH better..... 5394. Push Comes to Shove-Van Halen 1981 The weakest cut from Fair Warning, an album I love. This one is just too slow. 5393. As Tears Go By-Rolling Stones 1965/66 Again, too slow. I'd rather hear their psychedelic stuff. 5392. No Son of Mine-Genesis 1991/92 I remember this getting a lot of Classic Rock station play as a "new" classic at the time. This album was a let down. 5391. Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground)-Mike & the Mechanics 1985/86 I never remembered the correct title-at one point I had it as Silent Running! LMAO! Got tired of this and the pounding drumming on it. 5390. Party All Night-Quiet Riot 1984 Wow, been years since I heard this one! Would love to see it on VH-1 Classic, if there was even a video to it. 5389. In Spite of All the Danger-Beatles 1958/95 From the first Anthology. One of the earliest intact recordings of the Beatles. 5388. I've Been in Love Before-Cutting Crew 1987 Eh. Typical late 80s dreck. 5387. Broken Wings-Mr. Mister 1985 Somehow, this gets played on the Timeless Rock station here. Very strange. 5386. I Got You (I Feel Good)-James Brown 1965 I respect his place, but he just does nothing for me. 5384. Talk Dirty to Me-Poison 1987 Total chick metal. Was never into them. The first time we saw their album, a buddy of mine said, "Whoa, these chicks are hot!!" 5384. I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)-New Seekers 1971/72 Nice song, sorta dated at this point. You never really hear it though. 5383. Break My Stride-Matthew Wilder 1983/84 Wow, I actually liked this enough at the time to get the single! What was I thinking?? They actually reference this song in Not Another Teen Movie! 5382. You Are on My Mind-Chicago 1976 Another I learned from the box. They were starting to fade here, but still had a little steam. 5381. Johnny B. Goode-Chuck Berry 1958 Chuck just doesn't do much for me. But here is the song that launched 1000 other riffs. 5380. Hold On-Mauds 1967 This is a cover of Sam & Dave's Hold On! I'm a Comin'. The was like a heavy version of it. The Mauds were bigger in Chicago than anywhere else, and my dad still goes to see them now. 5379. People are People-Depeche Mode 1985 God, my buddy loved this song! I couldn't stand it! 5378. What Goes On-Beatles 1965 I remember being a kid and flipping over Nowhere Man and wondering what a song called What Goes On would sound like. (Same thing with Paperback Writer/Rain). Why didn't I just play the damn thing?? Go for it!!

Well now. You finally settled down and came up with a good list. In other words, I know most of these. 5397. I Fall to Pieces-Patsy Cline 1961 (new addition) I said before that she's my fave female country singer, and this is probably my 2nd fave by her, after Crazy. 5396. Add it Up-Violent Femmes 1983 Well saying I know most of these sure lasted long. Heard of the group, but not the song. 5395. Stand By Your Man-Tammy Wynette 1968/69 (new addition) Great song! I guess its not PC today, but I love the melody anyway. 5394. Push Comes to Shove-Van Halen 1981 Don't know it. 5393. As Tears Go By-Rolling Stones 1965/66 The Stones like any rock group needed to do some slow songs just for contrast. But this one was more suited to Marianne Faithful than to her then boyfriend, Mick. 5392. No Son of Mine-Genesis 1991/92 I heard it a few times. - but it didn't hold my interest. 5391. Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground)-Mike & the Mechanics 1985/86 Liked some of their other hits better. 5390. Party All Night-Quiet Riot 1984 Wasn't bad at all. 5389. In Spite of All the Danger-Beatles 1958/95 OK- one fo these days I have to get the Anthology cd. I guess having all the original albums doesn't cut it. 5388. I've Been in Love Before-Cutting Crew 1987 So-so. 5387. Broken Wings-Mr. Mister 1985 not a great song, but the vocals have a weird kind of appeal. 5386. I Got You (I Feel Good)-James Brown 1965 My fave by him. 5384. Talk Dirty to Me-Poison 1987 These guys are lightweights, and not in a good way. Everything I've heard by them kinda leaves me dangling, waiting for something to happen. 5384. I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)-New Seekers 1971/72 I can't remember if the "real" song or the Coke commercial came first. Whatever, both versions were played far too much back in the day. Haven't heard it at all lately and thats not bad either. 5383. Break My Stride-Matthew Wilder 1983/84 What made this song for me was the ennunciation. It's kinda cool. 5382. You Are on My Mind-Chicago 1976 Not bad, but they did better stuff both in the 70s AND the 80s. 5381. Johnny B. Goode-Chuck Berry 1958 A classic. This song is a good choice for signature song of the early days of Rock N Roll. 5380. Hold On-Mauds 1967 Heard of The Mauds, but I don't think I ever heard anyting by thm. 5379. People are People-Depeche Mode 1985 Eh. 5378. What Goes On-Beatles 1965 One of the Beatles lower tier songs. Not bad, though.

5397. I Fall to Pieces-Patsy Cline 1961 (new addition) A good one from Patsy, but I prefer 'Crazy'.
5396. Add it Up-Violent Femmes 1983 I'm not too familiar with them.
5395. Stand By Your Man-Tammy Wynette 1968/69 (new addition) A country classic, one of Tammy's best.
5394. Push Comes to Shove-Van Halen 1981 Fair Warning has some good cuts, but this has never stood out.
5393. As Tears Go By-Rolling Stones 1965/66 Not their best, but pretty good.
5392. No Son of Mine-Genesis 1991/92 I haven't been impressed with their more recent material at all.
5391. Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground)-Mike & the Mechanics 1985/86 Love this - remember buying the 45 back in the day.
5390. Party All Night-Quiet Riot 1984 I know I've heard this, but can't recall it.
5389. In Spite of All the Danger-Beatles 1958/95 Not bad, not great.
5388. I've Been in Love Before-Cutting Crew 1987 Not nearly as good as 'I Just Died in Your Arms'.
5387. Broken Wings-Mr. Mister 1985 A huge favorite from my senior year of high school. This always reminds me of the flood we had here in November 1985.
5386. I Got You (I Feel Good)-James Brown 1965 Catchy, but I'm very tired of this one.
5384. Talk Dirty to Me-Poison 1987 I've never really cared for their music.
5384. I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)-New Seekers 1971/72 Pleasant early 70s pop.
5383. Break My Stride-Matthew Wilder 1983/84 Liked this a lot back in the day, and still do.
5382. You Are on My Mind-Chicago 1976 I need to get the album out and refresh my memory on this one.
5381. Johnny B. Goode-Chuck Berry 1958 Classic, probably my favorite of his.
5380. Hold On-Mauds 1967 Don't know it.
5379. People are People-Depeche Mode 1985 Great one, one of my favorites from them.
5378. What Goes On-Beatles 1965 Not bad, but I always thought this was the weakest cut on Yesterday and Today.

5397 - I Fall To Pieces - Without a doubt - a country classic.
5396 - LOL Add It Up - I know the name but I just never got into them.
5395 - Stand By Your Man - I would have liked to hear Martina's version. A great tune.
5394 - Push Comes To Shove - The only song I'm familiar with from the album is Unchained.
5393 - As Tears Go By - I prefer this over the Marianne Faithful version.
5392 - No Son Of Mine - I really liked this alot at the time - still great to listen to every once in awhile.
5391 - Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground) - I remember a buddy of mine buying the LP at the time - I borrowed it and put it on cassette - good tune!
5390 - Party All Night - Don't remember this one.
5389 - In Spite Of All The Danger - It was very cool to discover that this existed.
5388 - I've Been in Love Before - Wow they had another hit? not familiar
5387 - Broken Wings - I've started to hear this and the other hits they had on one of the local stations here once again.
5386 - I Got You ( I Feel Good) A fine song.
5385 - Talk Dirty To Me - A band I never got into until later although I was aware of them at the time. Compared to the dreck out there now - they weren't bad at all.
5384 - I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing - Thinking back I believe I saw the Coke TV Ad first.
5383 - Break My Stride - Until recently because of one of Dawn's posts did I discover who sang this . This recieved alot of radio play here at the time.
5382 - You Are On My Mind - Not familiar
5381 - Johnny B Goode - Woo Hoo! still love it:)
5380 - Hold On - Is it almost the same as what Vanilla Fudge did with You Keep Me Hanging On ?
5379 - People Are People - I never did like these guys.
5378 - What Goes On - This has always been a huge fave - Love it alot!

5397. I Fall to Pieces-Patsy Cline 1961 (new addition) Great tune; timeless.
5396. Add it Up-Violent Femmes 1983 Great tune, almost got expelled from my Ohio college radio station for playing it. Shame--this is WORLDS better than "Blister".
5395. Stand By Your Man-Tammy Wynette 1968/69 (new addition) Did you not know this tune at all last time or just simply forget to put it in, Sat--Always knew this since toddler days--almost overplayed on AM POP radio through the 70's! But it's still good.
5394. Push Comes to Shove-Van Halen 1981 I actually like this tune.
5393. As Tears Go By-Rolling Stones 1965/66 Not super, but good. I almost prefer Marianne's version.
5392. No Son of Mine-Genesis 1991/92 Still liked 'em in '92! But not as great as their last 2 albums.
5391. Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground)-Mike & the Mechanics 1985/86 Great tune, great album.
5390. Party All Night-Quiet Riot 1984 Shoulda been one of the 80's top party anthems. Alas, it wasn't.
5389. In Spite of All the Danger-Beatles 1958/95 I don't recall hearing this, and I have the album! I'll have to check it out in a moment's notice...
5388. I've Been in Love Before-Cutting Crew 1987 Eh. Typical late 80s dreck. Am I a copycat? ;D Also, never liked this crew much.
5387. Broken Wings-Mr. Mister 1985 Great song. They don't make heartfelt songs like it anymore.
5386. I Got You (I Feel Good)-James Brown 1965 Great tune if not overplayed.
5384. Talk Dirty to Me-Poison 1987 Love it! A deserved 80's party tune!
5384. I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)-New Seekers 1971/72 The real song was written first, yet the commercial was taped right afterwards on a Roman hillside (hence the "Hillside Singers" on the other big version). Both released in November 1971, and what an impact on pop culture.
5383. Break My Stride-Matthew Wilder 1983/84 Man, do I LOVE it still. Just wished his 2 albums could see CD release...
5382. You Are on My Mind-Chicago 1976 Very overlooked tune. Like this better than other 70's hits like : "Call on me", "Harry Truman", and especially "Take me back to Chicago".
5381. Johnny B. Goode-Chuck Berry 1958 Just love it, as does my mom.
5380. Hold On-Mauds 1967 Good tune, but prefer "Soul drippin'".
5379. People are People-Depeche Mode 1985 Great tune, and somewhat has grown on me. But still prefer most of their 19990 "Violator" album.
5378. What Goes On-Beatles 1965 One of their less good B-sides. Sorta happy this didn't come close to the top 40.

5397. I Fall to Pieces-Patsy Cline 1961 (new addition) I like it.
5396. Add it Up-Violent Femmes 1983 Played it at the club a few times (where I never had to censor the "F's")
5395. Stand By Your Man-Tammy Wynette 1968/69 (new addition) Eh.... Remember when WWF used this song to death when they were trying to push Macho Man and Elizabeth as faces in '87?
5394. Push Comes to Shove-Van Halen 1981 I need to dig out my Fair Warning album. I haven't heard it in years, but I remember it as being their most "angry" album.
5393. As Tears Go By-Rolling Stones 1965/66 It's OK..
5392. No Son of Mine-Genesis 1991/92 Know the title, not the song. Genesis were done by this point..
5391. Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground)-Mike & the Mechanics 1985/86 Good one!
5390. Party All Night-Quiet Riot 1984 I never heard this, but I was never big on Quiet Riot (EVERYONE in my class liked them, but I just couldn't get into them!)
5389. In Spite of All the Danger-Beatles 1958/95 Interesting recording, used only for historical purposes. Who knew that this group would become the biggest of all time?
5388. I've Been in Love Before-Cutting Crew 1987 Never liked this group...
5387. Broken Wings-Mr. Mister 1985 Not bad, but I like Kyrie and Is It Love better
5386. I Got You (I Feel Good)-James Brown 1965 Tired of it, I like some of his other tunes..
5384. Talk Dirty to Me-Poison 1987 We ALL thought Poison were hot chicks in '87!
5384. I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)-New Seekers 1971/72 Always loved it..
5383. Break My Stride-Matthew Wilder 1983/84 Loved it since 1983!
5382. You Are on My Mind-Chicago 1976 Believe it or not, I don't know this one. I never bought that "Chocolate bar" album (Chicago X)
5381. Johnny B. Goode-Chuck Berry 1958 Everyone from Peter Tosh to Judas Priest has covered this. The original is best, though..
5380. Hold On-Mauds 1967 Don't know it, but I like the song, so I'd probably like this.
5379. People are People-Depeche Mode 1985 Always a great tune to play at the club!
5378. What Goes On-Beatles 1965 The only Beatles song credited to Lennon/McCartney/Starkey. I never knew why, though.

I Fall to Pieces--Love this one. A classic!
Add It Up--My brother got me started listening to the Femmes many years ago, and I'm glad he did. I like 'em a lot. This is a good song.
Stand By Your Man--Another classic, but I'm kinda tired of it at this point.
Push Comes to Shove--Don't think I know it.
As Tears Go By--Kinda boring.
No Son of Mine--This one's ok, but nothing I'd listen to on a regular basis.
Silent Running--Title's familiar, don't remember the song.
Party All Night--Couldn't stand Quiet Riot. Don't like this song much.
In Spite of All the Danger--Never heard of it.
I've Been in Love Before--Don't know it.
Broken Wings--Don't remember how this one goes, but I'd probably know it if I heard it.
I Got You--A favorite song by a singer who's one of my least favorites, if that makes sense. LOL!
Talk Dirty To Me--I always liked Poison. Just something about Bret Michaels...Anyway, this is a pretty good song.
I'd Like to Teach The World to Sing--Lotsa childhood memories of this one. Good song that's kinda scarce these days. Haven't heard it for a long time.
Break My Stride--Love this! Always have. Whatever happened to that guy anyway?
You Are On My Mind--Don't know it.
Johnny B. Goode--Another classic. I like it a lot.
Hold On--I actually have a Mauds album. Do ya believe it? LOL!
People are People--Not a bad song. I was never a big fan of the group, though.
What Goes On-Don't know it.

5392. No Son of Mine-Genesis 1991/92 I remember this getting a lot of Classic Rock station play as a "new" classic at the time. This album was a let down. Actually, that's my least favorite song on the CD "We Can't Dance". Kinda repetitive if you ask me. "Driving the Last Spike" is my favorite, but it didn't get any airplay, probably because it's so long. I love "Since I Lost You" also (I think that's the name of it--I don't have the CD right in front of me right now). 5391. Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground)-Mike & the Mechanics 1985/86 ...Got tired of this and the pounding drumming on it. I liked this song a lot at first, but got tired of hearing it on the radio. (I can say that about a LOT of songs.) 5390. Party All Night-Quiet Riot 1984 Wow, been years since I heard this one! Would love to see it on VH-1 Classic, if there was even a video to it. There was. A bunch of "nerd" kids order a pizza, a bunch of "metalheads" overhear the conversation on the phone at the pizza place and say, "PARTY!" Then all the metalheads--including Quiet Riot, complete with their instruments--invade what was originally a nice little quiet party! It's pretty funny, from what I recall! 5389. In Spite of All the Danger-Beatles 1958/95 From the first Anthology. One of the earliest intact recordings of the Beatles. Yep, I've got that one! It seems that at the Record Exchange (in St. Louis) where I usually go to buy used stuff, they don't have that much Beatles stuff--a few compilations, a few interview discs, and lots of copies of "Anthology Vol. 1" (WHICH I ALREADY HAVE, thank you very much). And yet the last time I was there,"Let it Be" was playing on the speakers. Go figure. It wasn't on the shelf. 5388. I've Been in Love Before-Cutting Crew 1987 Eh. Typical late 80s dreck. Oh, I liked this one. And it didn't get overplayed as much as their first hit, "I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight". I got really tired of that one, although I liked it at first. 5387. Broken Wings-Mr. Mister 1985 Somehow, this gets played on the Timeless Rock station here. Very strange. This is another really good song that got overplayed. I mostly like "Kyrie" from them, but even that got overplayed a little bit. Yes, it is funny when songs that you remember hearing when they first came out are being played on "oldies" or "retro" formats--it's like, "Thank you--now I feel old!" 5379. People are People-Depeche Mode 1985 God, my buddy loved this song! I couldn't stand it! Sorry, Adam, but I gotta agree with your buddy here!

5397. I Fall to Pieces-Patsy Cline 1961 No judgement from me. 5396. Add it Up-Violent Femmes 1983 Heh. LOL about using it to get to second base + with 8th grade girls. 5395. Stand By Your Man-Tammy Wynette 1968/69 A classic but a tad overrated IMO. 5394. Push Comes to Shove-Van Halen 1981 Reminds me of tooling around in my cousin's I-ROC. 5393. As Tears Go By-Rolling Stones 1965/66 I'm not the biggest Stones fan, so this is just 'meh' for me. 5392. No Son of Mine-Genesis 1991/92 Never liked this tune 5391. Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground)-Mike & the Mechanics 1985/86 Never hear this anymore. 5390. Party All Night-Quiet Riot 1984 I vaguely remember a video. One of their best. 5389. In Spite of All the Danger-Beatles 1958/95 Don't know it 5388. I've Been in Love Before-Cutting Crew 1987 80s dreck that I love for some reason. 5387. Broken Wings-Mr. Mister 1985 Now this is 80s dreck. 5386. I Got You (I Feel Good)-James Brown 1965 Overplayed 5384. Talk Dirty to Me-Poison 1987 Mindless fluff 5384. I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)-New Seekers 1971/72 Very dated but still enjoyable. Sang it in 6th grade for elementary school graduation. 5383. Break My Stride-Matthew Wilder 1983/84 He's a well-respected music producer now. I always hated his voice. 5382. You Are on My Mind-Chicago 1976 Don't recall this tune 5381. Johnny B. Goode-Chuck Berry 1958 A classic that I don't need to hear again. 5380. Hold On-Mauds 1967 Never heard of this 5379. People are People-Depeche Mode 1985 Love this song. Love this album. It's from 1983 isn't it? 5378. What Goes On-Beatles 1965 Don't know this one either

5397. I Fall to Pieces - Patsy Cline Hey, at least the song's on here! I'm happy about that! As for my opinion, this is a great song. One of my favorites by Patsy. 5396. Add it Up - Violent Femmes I've still never heard anything by the Femmes. 5395. Stand By Your Man - Tammy Wynette Have you ever heard the Chipmunk-Tammy version of this? Tammy did it with Brittany, Alvin's girlfriend. I've got it on cassette. It's hilarious! 5394 - 5388. Don't know these. 5387. Broken Wings - Mr. Mister I like this song. It's nothing to write home about, but it's decent. 5386. I Got You (I Feel Good) - James Brown He doesn't do much for me either, but I love this song! 5384. Talk Dirty to Me - Poison That comment by your friend is totally sad. They so do not look like girls, even with the long hair! 5384. I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony) - New Seekers Ick. Gross. Hate it. 5383. Break My Stride - Matthew Wilder Never heard of this guy. 5382. You Are on My Mind - Chicago Don't know it. 5381. Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry Awesome guitar here, and I totally respect him, but I'm not a fan. 5380 - 5378. Not familiar with these.

5394. Push Comes to Shove-Van Halen 1981 Fair Warning has some good cuts, but this has never stood out. I think pretty much every cut is a winner except this one.

5395 - Stand By Your Man - I would have liked to hear Martina's version. A great tune. 5380 - Hold On - Is it almost the same as what Vanilla Fudge did with You Keep Me Hanging On ? 5395. So you knew who I was talking about! I'm surprised you didn't see the CMT special it was from at the time! 5380. Not quite like that, just a bit faster (and harder hitting).
