"Runaway"-3 (this band was sort of a spinoff of ELP--Keith Emerson & Carl Palmer plus a singer named Robert Berry) "Runner", "Running to the Rescue"-both by Twila Paris (CCM artist) "Running to Stand Still"-U2 "I Ran"-A Flock of Seagulls "Run Baby Run"-Newbeats (I think that's who it was) "On the Run"-Lake (I think they were a German band--got some airplay on album rock stations) "Let the River Run"-Carly Simon "Let the River Run Its Course"-The Alarm "Run for Home"-Lindisfarne "Home Run"-Geoff Moore (another CCM artist) "When God Ran"-Benny Hester (yet another CCM'er) "Run for the Roses"-Dan Fogelberg Plus there was a little song on "Sesame Street" that went, "Run, run, everybody run, 5-4-3-2-1--let's run!" Also the old Taco Bell commercial "Make a run for the border." (One writer in the St. Louis newspaper wrote an article about then-current ads, and asked something to the effect of, "Why do you have to run to the border to go there when there is a Taco Bell almost every place you go?")

Whoops, one more--I don't think anyone listed this yet: "Run For Your Life" by the Beatles. (As I used to think the lyric went, "Hide your head in a pan, little girl..." ) Come to think of it, Sammy Hagar also has a song (a different one) called "Run For Your Life" and some other band did it also--I believe their name was Runner? Gosh, there are a lot of songs with "run" in them! Did anyone mention "Long May You Run" by the Stills-Young Band?...No, it doesn't look like anyone did. So add that to my list. It looks like this thread is going to "run" for a long time!

H2, I didn't know the Irish Rovers had recorded "Grandma Got Run Over..."! You learn something new every day here at the Click. I thought of another one, but I don't know who recorded it. "Are You Ready to Run the Race". It's a contemporary Christian song, and a guy sang it at a church that I used to go to. But I've never heard the recording.
