5237 Dazed and Confused-Led Zeppelin 1969
Their big number in concert, usually lasting in the realm of 26 minutes, featuring Page using a bow on his guitar. One of their more Sabbath-like tunes. Pretty out there for 69. 5236 Surfin’ U.S.A. (Demo)-Beach Boys 1963/93
A rough version of the oldie we all know. On the box set.
5235 Strange Kind of Woman-Deep Purple 1971 (new)
Another one that was on their original Greatest Hits package but that I only learned in recent years. Decent song. A "second level" song.
5234 Helpless- Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young 1970
Not Neil's best song on this album. Gets limited amount of Timeless Rock play here. 5233 Cara Mia-Jay & the Americans 1965
Some of the best singing since Orby. This particular song I am tired of, however. 5232 Dirty Laundry-Don Henley 1982/83
Henley's solo stuff has just worn thin over the years. 5231 Surfin’ U.S.A.-Beach Boys 1963/74
One of their signature tunes and one I am tired of.
5230 Commotion-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969
One of the few Chronicle songs that doesn't seem to get airplay these days. They should play it more.
5229 Somebody to Love-Queen 1976/77
I remember out of nowhere this tune getting lots of play after Freddie's death. Never really heard it much before that. An ok song. 5228 Me and My Wine-Def Leppard 1984
And one of Queen's biggest fans. And one of their earliest well known songs, but not as well as Bringin' on the Heartbreak. Actually haven't heard this in years. 5227 Open Arms-Journey 1982
May be the first song to actually be CALLED a power ballad. They started slipping here, IMO. 5226 Ace of Spades-Motorhead 1980
They're still out there doing it, with Lemmy at the helm. Not really my "speed" though.
5225 From This Moment On-Shania Twain 1997/98 (Previous ranking 3022)
One of the big ballads from this huge album. Nice enough. You'll be seeing a lot off this one, because almost everything was a single!
5224 Shoot High, Aim Low-Yes 1987
Had this album since it came out, but never listened to anything beyond the two singles. First heard this on the box set. Good, considering the year, but not as good as the 2 singles. 5223 You Were Meant For Me-Jewel 1996
Anybody see her on the Nick and Jessica show last night? What was that all about? Her stuff was pleasant.
5222 Rockin’ Robin-Bobby Day 1958
Typical oldie. Doesn't do much for me. 5221 After Loving You-Elvis 1969 (new addition)
Yes, from the Memphis album. Lots of good stuff on there. Yes, you should all check it out! LOL!
5220 Thick as a Brick-Jethro Tull 1972
I think the whole album is basically one cut, isn't it. Anyway, this is the edit for radio. Some of their stuff is weird. This isn't one of my faves. 5219 Talking in Your Sleep-Romantics 1983/84
To this day, my buddy and I SWEAR that in the one scene of the woman putting her nightie on, you can see....well, something that you saw of Elaine's on Seinfeld. Anyway, a decent song. 5218 Shock the Monkey-Peter Gabriel 1982/83
One I am just tired of.
Have at it!

Dazed & Confused - Way out there for '69. One of the looooong songs of rock. Good one though Surfin' USA - Never heard the demo version Strange Kind of Woman - Good song, but not one of my favorites Helpless - Not really one of my favorites. Cara Mia - Good song Dirty Laundry - Never liked it Surfin' USA - Great song Commotion - Great song. This was the B-side of Green River. Definately deserves more airplay. Somebody to Love - Great song Me & My Wine - Good one Open Arms - Another good one. Ace of Spades - don't remember it From This Moment On - Never liked it Shoot High, Aim Low - Don't remember it You Were Meant for Me - Don't know it Rockin' Robin - Typical early 60s, not bad After Loving You - Don't know it Thick as Brick - Got the album, one long song. Talking in Your Sleep - Good song Shock the Monkey - Didn't know this one until I got his GH cd a few months ago. It's not so bad a song.

5237 Dazed and Confused-Led Zeppelin 1969 Good, but could be edited down a bit. 5236 Surfin’ U.S.A. (Demo)-Beach Boys 1963/93 A great early effort from the Boys. 5235 Strange Kind of Woman-Deep Purple 1971 (new) I don't think I've heard this. 5234 Helpless- Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young 1970 I'm not too fond of Neil's voice, but a good tune. 5233 Cara Mia-Jay & the Americans 1965 Superb vocals on this! 5232 Dirty Laundry-Don Henley 1982/83 My favorite Don solo tune. 5231 Surfin’ U.S.A.-Beach Boys 1963/74 A classic! 5230 Commotion-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 I seldom hear this either, and that's a shame. This song rocks! 5229 Somebody to Love-Queen 1976/77 I used to dislike this, and while it's still not a fave, it's grown on me somewhat. 5228 Me and My Wine-Def Leppard 1984 It's been quite a while since I'd heard this! From one of my favorite albums of theirs. 5227 Open Arms-Journey 1982 Nice tune, with great piano work. 5226 Ace of Spades-Motorhead 1980 Not familiar. 5225 From This Moment On-Shania Twain 1997/98 (Previous ranking 3022) Not her best. 5224 Shoot High, Aim Low-Yes 1987 I don't think I know this - should check it out. 5223 You Were Meant For Me-Jewel 1996 Good, but I've always preferred 'Who Will Save Your Soul' to this one. 5222 Rockin’ Robin-Bobby Day 1958 Good early rock era tune. 5221 After Loving You-Elvis 1969 (new addition) LOL! I don't think I'm familiar with this one. 5220 Thick as a Brick-Jethro Tull 1972 They had quite a few songs I like more than this one. 5219 Talking in Your Sleep-Romantics 1983/84 Great 80s sound. This brings back memories of high school days. 5218 Shock the Monkey-Peter Gabriel 1982/83 Catchy song - always liked it.

5237 Dazed and Confused-Led Zeppelin 1969 Not one of my faves. 5236 Surfin’ U.S.A. (Demo)-Beach Boys 1963/93 Never heard the demo. 5235 Strange Kind of Woman-Deep Purple 1971 (new) Uggh. I don't like The Purple, as you know. 5234 Helpless- Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young 1970 A phenomenal song. I would probably love it even more if Neil wasn't singing but.... 5233 Cara Mia-Jay & the Americans 1965 Haven't heard this in some years. 5232 Dirty Laundry-Don Henley 1982/83 Never liked this 5231 Surfin’ U.S.A.-Beach Boys 1963/74 Totally sick of this 5230 Commotion-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 Not overplayed so therefore a good tune. 5229 Somebody to Love-Queen 1976/77 Pretty good one from them. 5228 Me and My Wine-Def Leppard 1984 Great tune from them 5227 Open Arms-Journey 1982 My dad definitely thinks that this song and "Faithfully" were where they went wrong but I LOVE this particular ballad and I'm not ashamed to admit it. 5226 Ace of Spades-Motorhead 1980 Their signature tune. I like singing it when I'm playing cards to annoy my boyfriend. 5225 From This Moment On-Shania Twain 1997/98 Just okay. Her voice sure is BIG on this track 5224 Shoot High, Aim Low-Yes 1987 Don't know it 5223 You Were Meant For Me-Jewel 1996 I did see her on the Nick & Jessica variety show. This is the only song by her that I like. 5222 Rockin’ Robin-Bobby Day 1958 Ditto - Typical oldie. Doesn't do much for me. 5221 After Loving You-Elvis 1969 (new addition) Not familiar 5220 Thick as a Brick-Jethro Tull 1972 Hate Jethro Tull 5219 Talking in Your Sleep-Romantics 1983/84 Pretty typical of the era but ok. My mom loves this whole album. 5218 Shock the Monkey-Peter Gabriel 1982/83 Just ok, but the album it's from is awesome.

5237 - Dazed and Confused -I've grown tired of it due to my CR station playing it what seemed like multiple times a day. 5236 - Surfin U.S.A. - Have never heard the demo. 5235 - Strange Kind Of Woman - Love Paicey's drumming on it. 5234 - Helpless - Good Tune - This recieves quite a bit of radio play up here. 5233 - Cara Mia - Heard this for the first time sometime in the late 70's - excellent. 5232 - Dirty Laundry - Still enjoy it. 5231 -Surfin' U.S.A. - Classic Beach Boys. 5230 - Commotion - Whoa yeah! - Remember my brother playing the 45 lots when I was little - very good track. 5229 - Somebody To Love- Same here Adam all of a sudden I was hearing it everywhere. 5228 - Me and My Wine - Not familiar 5227 - Open Arms - Really nice tune that I liked quite a bit at the time and still will listen to occasionally. 5226 - Ace of Spaces - The only Motorhead tune I'm really familiar with. Not my style either but I sure saw the video quite alot there for awhile. 5225 - From This Moment On - It was nice but there are other songs on the album I like better. 5224 - Shoot High Aim Low - A real big fave from The Big Generator album. 5223 - You Were Meant For Me - I remember it took me awhile to "get into" her music. It's good. 5222 - Rockin' Robin - I don''t hear this as much as I used to . Good one though. 5221 - After Loving You - LOL 5220 - Thick as a Brick - My CR station played this waaay to often at one time - not a fave at all. 5219 - Talking In Your Sleep - Still a very big fave of mine 5218 - Shock The Monkey - Don't mind hearing it occasionally.

5237 Dazed and Confused-Led Zeppelin 1969 Good tune, maybe a bit too "bluesy" for me, considering their great hard hittin' tunes.
5236 Surfin’ U.S.A. (Demo)-Beach Boys 1963/93 Not bad, but demos are often not as good as the "hit".
5235 Strange Kind of Woman-Deep Purple 1971 (new) Cool song.
5234 Helpless- Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young 1970 One of my LESSER faves from Deja Vu.
5233 Cara Mia-Jay & the Americans 1965 Huge fave since the later 70's, along with Paul Delicato's big A/C version. Didn't know the David Whitfield original from 1954 until years later.
5232 Dirty Laundry-Don Henley 1982/83 My forever top fave of his. I'd be happy to see the "original" LP mix on CD just for fun... (the phone rings are softer)
5231 Surfin’ U.S.A.-Beach Boys 1963/74 Always liked it, and one of my mom's tops.
5230 Commotion-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 Good, but they had better B-sides, especially "Lodi"--why didn't THAT make the top 40?
5229 Somebody to Love-Queen 1976/77 Great tune. RIP Freddie.
5228 Me and My Wine-Def Leppard 1984 IIRC, a bonus cut on the 1984 repressing of Hi-N-Dri, which has always been my least fave album of theirs.
5227 Open Arms-Journey 1982 Simply, a CLASSIC. You couldn't forget it.
5226 Ace of Spades-Motorhead 1980 Rocks!
5225 From This Moment On-Shania Twain 1997/98 (Previous ranking 3022) Never liked this too well.
5224 Shoot High, Aim Low-Yes 1987 Pretty good.
5223 You Were Meant For Me-Jewel 1996 DETEST the "radio/single" mix. Call me weird but I love the original album version far more; sounds like she's yawning throughout the tune.
5222 Rockin’ Robin-Bobby Day 1958 Always a big fave of mine. Another tune I first knew from my sister's Goofy Greats album.
5221 After Loving You-Elvis 1969 (new addition) Again, could investigate.
5220 Thick as a Brick-Jethro Tull 1972 Great album cut in its entirety. Good album cover too.
5219 Talking in Your Sleep-Romantics 1983/84 Just LOVE it.
5218 Shock the Monkey-Peter Gabriel 1982/83 Yes!

Dazed and Confused--Never one of my Zep faves. Good movie though. LOL! Surfin' USA--I don't think I know the demo version. Strange Kind of Woman--Not too familiar with DP. Helpless--Like it a lot. Cara Mia--Not a bad song. Dirty Laundry--Never liked it much in the first place, and now that I've heard it 8 million trillion billion times, I'm really sick of it. Surfin' USA--What you said. Commotion--Great tune. Love it! Somebody to Love--Excellent! Me and My Wine--Haven't thought about this one in years. Good one! Open Arms--Another one that's way way way overplayed. Ace of Spades--Don't know it. From this Moment On--Not great. Kinda boring. Shoot High Aim Low--Don't think I know it. You Were Meant for Me--Missed the Nick and Jessica show, but I always liked this song. Rockin' Robin--Pleasant enough, but nothing I ever went crazy over. After Loving You--Not familiar. Thick as a Brick--Not a big Tull fan, but this song's ok. Talking in Your Sleep--Love it. The Romantics were so cool! Shock the Monkey--I don't mind hearing this every once in awhile.

5237 Dazed and Confused-Led Zeppelin 1969 Kinda like it.
5236 Surfin’ U.S.A. (Demo)-Beach Boys 1963/93 Don't know this version
5235 Strange Kind of Woman-Deep Purple 1971 (new) Only heard it a couple of times.
5234 Helpless- Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young 1970 Not bad
5233 Cara Mia-Jay & the Americans 1965 Jay has a great voice, but this is far from my fave by this group.
5232 Dirty Laundry-Don Henley 1982/83 I like Don as an Eagle better than solo, but still like most of his solo stuff. This isn't bad.
5231 Surfin’ U.S.A.-Beach Boys 1963/74 It followed Surfin' and Surfin' Safari. OK, guys, we get the picture. But - it did help to cement their sound.
5230 Commotion-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 Pretty good.
5229 Somebody to Love-Queen 1976/77 Not bad
5228 Me and My Wine-Def Leppard 1984 Don't know it
5227 Open Arms-Journey 1982 OK - but Journey has never been one of my fave groups
5226 Ace of Spades-Motorhead 1980 Don't know it
5225 From This Moment On-Shania Twain 1997/98 Don't know it
5224 Shoot High, Aim Low-Yes 1987 Ditto
5223 You Were Meant For Me-Jewel 1996 I've probably heard it, but don't know it.
5222 Rockin’ Robin-Bobby Day 1958 Like it better than the Michael Jackson version, but not a fave.
5221 After Loving You-Elvis 1969 (new addition) Don't know it
5220 Thick as a Brick-Jethro Tull 1972 Used to hear it some back then. Not bad.
5219 Talking in Your Sleep-Romantics 1983/84 Not bad
5218 Shock the Monkey-Peter Gabriel 1982/83 It's OK. - But it makes me think of the South Park episode when Stan is trying to win Wendy back and someone tells him to stand outside her window with his boom box and play some Peter Gabriel. So he plays Shock the Monkey.

Yes, I meant what I said. I am disappointed that Lodi, not Commotion, MISSED the top 40. Lodi-#52 Commotion-#30 When I read Adam's response, Dave, I thought you had a rare "miss". I would have sworn that Lodi had made the top 40. Back in the day, they used to play it nearly as much as Bad Moon Rising. Definitely deserved higher than 52.

5237 Dazed and Confused - Led Zeppelin Don't know this one. 5236 Surfin’ U.S.A. (Demo) - Beach Boys Ah. A Beach Boys song we all know and love. Well, the demo version of a Beach Boys song we all know and love. 5235 - 5232. Don't know these songs. 5231 Surfin’ U.S.A. - Beach Boys And there it is again! You're tired of it? 5230 - 5228. Not familiar with them. 5227 Open Arms - Journey Good, but I knew Mariah Carey's cover first so I'm kind of partial to it. 5226 Ace of Spades - Motorhead Never heard anything by them. 5225 From This Moment On - Shania Twain BEFORE I hated Shania! Good. I prefer the album version though. It's a duet with Bryan White. 5224 Shoot High, Aim Low - Yes Don't know it. 5223 You Were Meant For Me - Jewel I missed that damn Nick and Jessica thing! Forgot all about it! I always liked this song. 5222 Rockin’ Robin - Bobby Day This was good...was I was three years old. I'm sick of it now. 5221 - 5220. Don't know these. 5219 Talking in Your Sleep - Romantics What did you see of Elaine's?? Tell me! Oh, good song BTW. 5218 Shock the Monkey - Peter Gabriel Interesting song title...

5225 From This Moment On - Shania Twain...Good. I prefer the album version though. It's a duet with Bryan White. Ditto. There used to be a girl who worked here (yes, I'm at work now ) that was nuts over Bryan White, and she didn't care for Shania's solo version at all. I liked it ok, but I definitely like it better w/both of 'em singing.
