5077 Lemon Song-Led Zeppelin 1969
Very similar, in many ways, to Traveling Riverside Blues, which I like a lot better. Sort of a legendary song in their catalog, although it doesn't get much play here.
5076 Johnny Angel-Shelly Fabares 1962
Shelly was such a cutie on the Donna Reed show. Who knew she'd grow up to marry BJ Hunneycutt?
5075 Mandy-Barry Manilow 1974/75
Darn that Looking Glass-if it weren't for them, Barry could have kept this as Brandy, for his doggie!
5074 Dedicated to the One I Love-Mama’s & Papa’s 1967
Prefer this to the original.
5073 I Come From the Water-Toadies 1995
Like their other radio hit MUCH better.
5072 So Tired-Ozzy Osbourne 1984
Actually, this was the first Ozzy song I knew, even before Crazy Train. Probably because there was a video to this, and Crazy Train didn't have one until Tribute came out.
5071 Father and Son-Cats Stevens 1970
I first listened to this after I saw the title on a classic rock station's set list. Like his other "Son" song MUCH better.
5070 Stone Cold Believer-38 Special 1980
I listened to this at first in honor of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Shut up.
5069 Lil' Red Riding Hood-Sam the Sham & the Pharoahs 1966
Like Ring Dang Doo, a song that is overshadowed by Wooly Bully.
5068 Arthur's Theme (Best You Can Do)-Christopher Cross 1981
Wow, liked this enough at the time to get the single. Kinda EH to it now.
5067 Free Fallin'-Tom Petty 1989/90
I know a guy, Anthony Gartin, that looks JUST like Tom Petty. So I would sing, "AnthonEEEEE....Anthony Gartin!!"
5066 Amazin'-Aerosmith 1993/94
Got so tired of all their on word title songs.
5065 Dancing Across the U.S.A.-Lindsey Buckingham 1983
We've all seen Vacation, so you should remember this over the end credits.
5064 The Final Countdown-Europe 1987
When I bought this 45, the store had singles behind the counter, so you had to ask for them. I got to the car and pulled it out. "Love For Sale by Talking Heads? Never heard of it!" So I went right back in and returned it. Listened to Countdown ONCE since then, and ended up liking the Heads song MUCH more!
5063 I Want to Hold Your Hand-Beatles 1964
When I originally did my Beatles list, I accidently left out one song. This was it.
5062 Tangerine-Led Zeppelin 1970
Just an average song from an album I otherwise love.
5061 Sugar Shack-Jimmy Gilmer & the Fireballs 1963
The Sugar Shack is a famous men's strip club near me. The owner of it now lives in the house I grew up in.
5060 Say You’re Wrong-Julian Lennon 1985
Ok, this is MAJORLY screwed up, and I don't know how. There is no way this be ahead of Now You're in Heaven! I never liked this tune!
5059 Before You Accuse Me-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1970
Old tune that Clapton later covered and got some radio play with. Prefer this version TONS.
5058 I Want to Know What Love is-Foreigner 1984/85
Hate that this is considered their most famous song. Tired of it.
Wow, I had a lot to say today! Well, the songs are getting better!
Go for it!!
