This list is back to being EH. 5057 Right Time of the Night-Jennifer Warnes 1979 She had songs before her duets! Probably stuck on Lite stations for enternity. 5056 Dancing in the Dark-Bruce Springsteen 1984 The video that made the career of that Friends chick. I went nuts for this at the time, tired of it now. 5055 Tonight, Tonight, Tonight-Genesis 1987 I remember having this album before this was released as a single and my buddy and I knew this would be out before long. Their attempt at doing one of their old marathon songs. 5054 Jacob's Ladder-Huey Lewis & the News 1987 I remember my buddy raving over this when it came out. Eh, it wasn't all that. 5053 Lithium-Nirvana 1992 One of those bands whose legend is just so overblown. Sick of hearing this on the rock stations. 5052 Back Off Boogaloo-Ringo Starr 1972 This was supposed to be a sort of song about the Beatles and to stop their fighting. Average song. 5051 Walking in Rhythm-Blackbyrds 1975 I remember this getting a fair amount of airplay on the old 70s station here. Decent, nothing I need to hear though. 5050 Peekaboo-Devo 1982 Such a bizarre song and video! I mean like spooky! I actually wouldn't mind picking up this song! 5049 Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)-Phil Collins 1984 I wish he would be remembered for more than these ballads. This was better than some however. 5048 Hazy Shade of Winter-Bangles 1987/88 I knew this before I knew the original. I have no preference to be honest. I have a post over on the Rock board about originals getting more play when a cover comes out. The S&G original DID get more play here after this came out. 5047 19th Nervous Breakdown-Rolling Stones 1966 I'm just really sick of their big early singles. Give me stuff like Tell Me. 5046 How Do You Spell Love?-Fabulous Thunderbirds 1987 I don't think this got a whole lot of airplay and I'm not even sure where I heard it! 5045 Walk Like an Egyptian-Bangles 1986 I remember a buddy and I walking and I had been singing this. This older guy named Rick drove by and I sang "Walk like an E-rick-tian" Then I realized what that sounded like! 5044 In the Navy-Village People 1979 The type of campy disco I am just tired of. 5043 Too Much Blood-Rolling Stones 1983 Around this time, the Stones get real weird with their violent lyrics and videos. 5042 Next Time I Fall-Peter Cetera & Amy Grant 1986 Amy did this and then was up for best NEW artist like 3 or 4 years later. Anyway, typical schlock that Peter has put out since he ditched Chicago. 5041 Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)-Chic 1977/78 This one's ok, but the later disco years don't do as much for me. 5040 Road to Nowhere-Talking Heads 1985 This was above average. I need a good, complete SINGLE disc Heads collection, since I like em but don't love em. 5039 Honolulu Lulu-Jan & Dean 1963 Forgotten in favor of Little Old Lady and Surf City. It's a shame. 5038 Fire Down Below-Bob Seger 1976 There is a chunk of Seger songs I just play don't like. This is in there. Go for it!

5043 Too Much Blood-Rolling Stones 1983 Around this time, the Stones get real weird with their violent lyrics and videos. I don't know this one, but from your description, it sounds like the song's title was appropriate, huh? 5042 Next Time I Fall-Peter Cetera & Amy Grant 1986 Amy did this and then was up for best NEW artist like 3 or 4 years later. Anyway, typical schlock that Peter has put out since he ditched Chicago. Actually, Amy has been recording since about the late '70s, so she wasn't a "new" artist even when they did this song! I loved this song at first, but it got VERY overplayed. I preferred Peter's duet with Cher ("After All"--I just got Cher's "Heart of Stone" CD recently and this song is on it,BTW), but that got overplayed too. But yeah, I did like him better when he was with Chicago. (And the reverse is true also--I liked Chicago better when he was with them.)

Right Time of the Night - A lite rock favorite, not one of mine
Dancing in the Dark - Great song, will never get tired of hearing it.
Tonight, Tonight, Tonight - Pretty good song
Jacob's Ladder - Never liked it
Lithium - Not a big Nirvana fan
Back of Boogaloo - It wasn't so bad in '72, haven't heard it in years
Walking in the Rhythm - typical mid-70s, average song
Peck-a-Boo - don't know it
Against All Odds - Never really cared for it.
Hazy Shade of Winter - Good song, just like S&G's version better
19th Nervous Breakdown - Good song
How Do Spell Love - don't know it
Walk Like an Egyptian - Another song overplayed at stadiums and arenas around the country
In the Navy - Was ok in the 70s, wouldn't listen to it now.
Too Much Blood - don't remember this one
Next Time I Fall - don't know it
Dance, Dance, Dance - Even by disco standards, this song was bad, bad, bad.
Road to Nowhere - don't know it
Honolulu Lulu - don't remember this
Fire Down Below - For a Seger song, this one was only average.

5057 Right Time of the Night-Jennifer Warnes 1979 Great country-pop classic. I remember this well from my childhood.
5056 Dancing in the Dark-Bruce Springsteen 1984 One of my favorites from Bruce.
5055 Tonight, Tonight, Tonight-Genesis 1987 One of the better cuts from Invisible Touch, but not quite as good as most of the songs from their self-titled album.
5054 Jacob's Ladder-Huey Lewis & the News 1987 I like this, but it was very overplayed when it was current.
5053 Lithium-Nirvana 1992 Not one of their better ones.
5052 Back Off Boogaloo-Ringo Starr 1972 Very cool song - I have the 45. I rarely hear this on the oldies stations here.
5051 Walking in Rhythm-Blackbyrds 1975 LOVE this, and it brings back many childhood memories. That was such a great time for music.
5050 Peekaboo-Devo 1982 Not familiar with this one.
5049 Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)-Phil Collins 1984 I actually like this more now than I did back in '84.
5048 Hazy Shade of Winter-Bangles 1987/88 This was the first version I knew also. Very nicely done by them.
5047 19th Nervous Breakdown-Rolling Stones 1966 Good one from their earlier period.
5046 How Do You Spell Love?-Fabulous Thunderbirds 1987 I don't think I've heard this.
5045 Walk Like an Egyptian-Bangles 1986 Very catchy and danceable, but it hasn't held up as well for me as some of their other songs.
5044 In the Navy-Village People 1979 A big fave from my childhood years, and still enjoy it a lot.
5043 Too Much Blood-Rolling Stones 1983 Don't know this.
5042 Next Time I Fall-Peter Cetera & Amy Grant 1986 Not bad, but I grew a little tired of hearing it back in the day.
5041 Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)-Chic 1977/78 Not my favorite by them, but good, with a great beat.
5040 Road to Nowhere-Talking Heads 1985 I'm not too familiar with the Heads other than their biggest hits.
5039 Honolulu Lulu-Jan & Dean 1963 This is definitely forgotten, I agree.
5038 Fire Down Below-Bob Seger 1976 I've been hearing this more and more on the classic rock stations in the past year or two. Good, but he had better.

5057 Right Time of the Night-Jennifer Warnes 1979 I like most of her stuff
5056 Dancing in the Dark-Bruce Springsteen 1984 Tired of it but liked it when I was a teen
5055 Tonight, Tonight, Tonight-Genesis 1987 Tired to death of this
5054 Jacob's Ladder-Huey Lewis & the News 1987 An underplayed decent tune from them
5053 Lithium-Nirvana 1992 A little overplayed but I won't deny their talent
5052 Back Off Boogaloo-Ringo Starr 1972 Don't know it
5051 Walking in Rhythm-Blackbyrds 1975 Don't recall this from the title
5050 Peekaboo-Devo 1982 Totally bizarre but fun
5049 Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)-Phil Collins 1984 I like this but it's been overplayed
5048 Hazy Shade of Winter-Bangles 1987/88 LOVE this cover.
5047 19th Nervous Breakdown-Rolling Stones 1966 There are only a handful of Stones songs that I like and this isn't one of them
5046 How Do You Spell Love?-Fabulous Thunderbirds 1987 Pretty good
5045 Walk Like an Egyptian-Bangles 1986 Sick of this
5044 In the Navy-Village People 1979 Not their best
5043 Too Much Blood-Rolling Stones 1983 Don't like this
5042 Next Time I Fall-Peter Cetera & Amy Grant 1986 No, just no. Although I do like the duet he does with Cher.
5041 Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)-Chic 1977/78 Love this disco classic
5040 Road to Nowhere-Talking Heads 1985 Pretty good.
5039 Honolulu Lulu-Jan & Dean 1963 Don't know this
5038 Fire Down Below-Bob Seger 1976 A Seger song that I hate

5057 - Righ Time Of The Night - Great tune - thought it was Linda Ronstadt when I first heard it. 5056 - Dancing In The Dark - With the amount of times i've heard it, i've never tired of it. 5055 - Tonight Tonight Tonight - Thought it was very good - haven't listened to it for awhile now. 5054 - Jacob's Ladder - One of his best! - still love to give it a spin. 5053 - Lithium - eh - 5052 - Back Off Boogaloo - A great groove - a Ringo fave. 5051 - Walking In Rhythm - The title is familiar but I just can't place it . 5050 - Peekaboo - The same as above 5049 - Against All Odds - Yeah - it's amazing how many of these artists seemed to fall into "ballad mode" - Clapton , Elton , Aerosmith . 5048 - Hazy Shade of Winter - The girls did a really good job - was still getting over the shock of Walk Like An A Egyptian. 5047 - 19th Nervous Breakdown - A terrible recording but a great tune - love Bill's bass playing on the outro. 5046 - How Do You Spell Love - I was really into the T birds at this time - still love 'em and I bought the LP. Super song! 5045 - Walk Like an Egyptian - LOL about your singing - I never liked this song one bit it just really grated on my nerves . Up to this point they had some simply terrific pop tunes but they really stumbled with this . They rebounded after this though of course with "Hazy" and In Your Room. I later found out watching their Behind The Music episode that they hated "Walk" as well. 5044 - In The Navy - I have to admit I didn't mind it . I remember seeing them sing this on a TV special back then. 5043 - Too Much Blood - One of their tunes that I can honestly say I don't really remember. 5042 - Next Time I Fall - Don't remember it but Amy does have a nice voice. 5041 - Dance Dance Dance - It was ok but they had better. 5040 - Road To Nowhere - Yeah I remember this well . It's funny though as much as my classic rock station loves(and I mean LOVES) playing them they probably play this the least. 5039 - Honalulu Lulu - Kind of catchy. 5038 - Fire Down Below - Still like it alot.

OK... this is the third time I'm trying to post this today. Twice before I've done something I never do: I've hit the reset button by mistake. 057 Right Time of the Night-Jennifer Warnes 1979 This was actually '77, not '79. I remember because that year we were living in Atlanta, and Nancy was carpooling with a couple of other teachers. She told me that one of them told her that she would sing that song when she wanted to get her husband 'in the mood.' It's an OK song, but I like her duets better. 5056 Dancing in the Dark-Bruce Springsteen 1984 Woo hoo! My fave by The Boss 5055 Tonight, Tonight, Tonight-Genesis 1987 I'm not nearly caught up on '86-'89 songs. - Don't think I know this. 5054 Jacob's Ladder-Huey Lewis & the News 1987 All of Huey's songs sound alike to me --- Bland. 5053 Lithium-Nirvana 1992 Don't know it. 5052 Back Off Boogaloo-Ringo Starr 1972 Not bad. Kinda in the middle of my list of Ringo solos. - No... I really don't have a list. No... I'm not gonna make one. 5051 Walking in Rhythm-Blackbyrds 1975 Don't mind this one at all. 5050 Peekaboo-Devo 1982 Don't know it. 5049 Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)-Phil Collins 1984 Might be my fave by him. Still not great. 5048 Hazy Shade of Winter-Bangles 1987/88 Very decent cover. The Bangles are probably my fave girl group of the '80s. There is only one song of theirs that I don't like. 5047 19th Nervous Breakdown-Rolling Stones 1966 I remember dating a girl back then who used to always say whenever she got stressed: "I'm having my 19th nervous breakdown" Used to drive me crazy! Not a bad song despite that. 5046 How Do You Spell Love?-Fabulous Thunderbirds 1987 Don't know it. 5045 Walk Like an Egyptian-Bangles 1986 Read my comment for 5048. This is the song. 5044 In the Navy-Village People 1979 Never could stand the Village People. 5043 Too Much Blood-Rolling Stones 1983 Don't think I know it. 5042 Next Time I Fall-Peter Cetera & Amy Grant 1986 Not that bad, if a little too sappy. 5041 Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)-Chic 1977/78 Actually like this one more than I thought I would. 5040 Road to Nowhere-Talking Heads 1985 Don't know it 5039 Honolulu Lulu-Jan & Dean 1963 Love this one. I remember two old friends of mine and I used to check out the accoustics in a room by harmonizing the line "Queeeeen of the Surfer Girls" 5038 Fire Down Below-Bob Seger 1976 Don't know it

5057 Right Time of the Night - Jennifer Warnes
I know nothing but the duet with Joe Cocker!
5056 Dancing in the Dark - Bruce Springsteen
Good song. Did a lot for Courteney Cox, obviously!
5055 - 5054. Don't know these.
5053 Lithium - Nirvana
I can't believe I don't know this one.
5052 - 5049. Don't know these.
5048 Hazy Shade of Winter - Bangles
I don't think I know the original at all, but I always loved this version.
5047 - 5046. Not familiar.
5045 Walk Like an Egyptian - Bangles
Great song. Very fun.
5044 In the Navy - Village People
I love the Village People! They're so cheesy...and gay!
5043 - 5039. Don't know these.
5038 Fire Down Below - Bob Seger
I'd rather hear Bette's version, thanks.

Right Time of the Night--Not a bad song. One you don't hear too often anymore. Dancing in the Dark--Liked it a lot when it was current. Kinda sick of it at this point. Tonight Tonight Tonight--Never thought much of it. Too long and boring. Jacob's Ladder--A favorite song by Huey and the boys. Lithium--Don't know this by title. Might recognize it if I heard it. Back Off Boogaloo--Always liked this. I can remember some Frankenstein type monster running around in the "video" for this song. Peekaboo--Don't think I know it. Against All Odds--Not bad, not great. Hazy Shade of Winter--Love this cover. Love the original, too. 19th Nervous Breakdown--Not a big Stones fan. How Do You Spell Love--Umm...L-O-V-E. Walk Like an Egyptian--Tired of it. In the Navy--Fun and campy, but nothing I'd seek out to listen to these days. Too Much Blood--Not sure I know this. Next Time I Fall--Pretty good song. Wasn't this Amy's early attempt to "branch out" and sing something besides Contemporary Christian music? Dance Dance Dance--All those "yowzah"s were just too annoying. Never liked this song at all. Road to Nowhere--Love this. I'm not a HUGE Talking Heads fan, but there are several songs of theirs that I really like. Hololulu Lulu--Never heard of it. Fire Down Below--Good song. There's a great scene in "The Rose" with Bette Midler and a bunch of drag queens singing this. Pretty cool. LOL!
