I was so lonely here yesterday! 5017 Beach Baby-First Class 1974 I know this was supposed to be a Beach Boys type song, but to me it was just one of many one hit wonder songs of the era. 5016 Must Have Been Crazy-Chicago 1979 Post Kath, pre-bad 80s. Their last great one was a year before with No Tell Lover. 5015 Come Back-Foo Fighters 2002 (new addition) I actually know more songs on their current disc than on Nothing Left to Lose, which I like better. This is the weakest cut on this one. 5014 Love Gun-Kiss 1977 Used to good effect in the Detroit Rock City movie. Don't remember where I first heard this. BTW-Kiss tourney starts today!! 5013 You Want Her Too-Paul McCartney 1989 The one time I TRULY enjoyed Elvis Costello. He co-wrote this (and several others on this album) and dueted with Paul on this. His voice is actually used to good effect. I really liked this album. 5012 The Midnight Special-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 One of only 2 cuts on the second Chronicle that get semi-regular Classic Rock play. And that's shame. 5011 Calling to You-Robert Plant 1993 One of the few non-singles I got into on this disc. 5010 Angel (Theme)-Angel1975 On their first album is this song, and another song just called Angel. Very creative, boys. This is actually a cool prog rock instrumental. 5009 Brand New Key-Melanie 1971 Her voice gets a WEE bit annoying on this track. Interesting track otherwise. 5008 Love So Right-Bee Gees 1976 An average ballad from them. 5007 Run So Far-Eric Clapton 1989 A decent album track from an album I'm not that big on anymore. 5006 Red Skies-Fixx 1982 One of several of their songs to get massive MTV play. I like others better. 5005 Something So Strong-Crowded House 1986 These guys were a bit too lightweight for me. Liked Split Enz better. 5004 He Don't Love You (Like I Love You)-Tony Orlando & Dawn 1975 Original was recorded as He Will Break Your Heart by Jerry Butler. Maybe that is the version I know better? 5003 (Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty-KC & the Sunshine Band 1976 So tired of their big ones. 5002 Good Clean Fun-Monkees 1969 Typical Mike-ism to have the title nowhere in the song itself. This was actually a single that had little impact. 5001 The Beast-Twisted Sister 1984 Another Stay Hungry album track. MAN I was crazy for this album!! 5000 Where Did Our Love Go-Supremes 1964 Typical Supremes sound that was overplayed. 4999 That Smell-Lynyrd Skynyrd 1974 Their anti-drug theme. Nice message, but I'm tired of the song. 4998 The One Thing-INXS 1983 Remember this video on MTV every day? The cats on the table? The band member with the British flag socks? Decent song, but NOT their best pre-Kick song. Have at it!

5017 Beach Baby-First Class 1974 Not bad, but not nearly as good as the Boys' hits.
5016 Must Have Been Crazy-Chicago 1979 I've got this on an LP, but can't place the melody. I'll have to give it a listen.
5015 Come Back-Foo Fighters 2002 (new addition) Not their best.
5014 Love Gun-Kiss 1977 Good one from their best era.
5013 You Want Her Too-Paul McCartney 1989 As with Must Have Been Crazy, I need to refresh my memory on this one.
5012 The Midnight Special-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 I want to pick up Chronicle 2 sometime. This hardly ever gets play here, but it's a good tune.
5011 Calling to You-Robert Plant 1993 Not familiar with this.
5010 Angel (Theme)-Angel1975 I don't know this, but it sounds like I'd enjoy it.
5009 Brand New Key-Melanie 1971 This took a while to grow on me.
5008 Love So Right-Bee Gees 1976 Excellent cut that takes me right back to my childhood when I hear it.
5007 Run So Far-Eric Clapton 1989 I don't think I've heard this.
5006 Red Skies-Fixx 1982 The title seems familiar, but I'm not sure if I've heard it.
5005 Something So Strong-Crowded House 1986 I kind of liked this back when it was current, but not as much today.
5004 He Don't Love You (Like I Love You)-Tony Orlando & Dawn 1975 Not my favorite from them, but they do a pretty good job with it.
5003 (Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty-KC & the Sunshine Band 1976 Love this!
5002 Good Clean Fun-Monkees 1969 I'm not too familiar with their post-68 material.
5001 The Beast-Twisted Sister 1984 Now this I know I've heard, as Mark had the cassette. I was never too fond of their music.
5000 Where Did Our Love Go-Supremes 1964 One of my lesser Supremes faves.
4999 That Smell-Lynyrd Skynyrd 1974 My favorite Skynyrd track. A boyfriend got me into their music my senior year, and I had the cassette this was from.
4998 The One Thing-INXS 1983 Good song, probably my favorite of theirs.

There are so many I don't know that I think I'll just skip them. 5017 Beach Baby-First Class 1974 Far from a great song, but very catchy, and definitely early '60s retro. In general '50s and '60s retro has a warm place in my heart. (or was that the bean dip? - damn! ) 5012 The Midnight Special-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 Heard this one a few times. Not bad. 5009 Brand New Key-Melanie 1971 Totally agree with you. Melanie's voice was one that you could take (and even enjoy) in small quantities. But they played this song so--damn-- much! 5008 Love So Right-Bee Gees 1976 Kinda like it. But you're right; it's not their best. 5005 Something So Strong-Crowded House 1986 I've heard this a couple of times, but it's from that time period when I wasn't paying a lot of attention. So-so, I think. (I like Don't Dream It's Over better, and I'm not so crazy about that one.) 5004 He Don't Love You (Like I Love You)-Tony Orlando & Dawn 1975 Yeah, this song always makes for a good trivia question (name a single song that was a hit for two different artists but with different titles.) I like Jerry's version better. 5003 (Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty-KC & the Sunshine Band 1976 Never liked them much anyway, and by '76 I was darn tired of them. 5002 Good Clean Fun-Monkees 1969 Not amongst my faves by them. 5000 Where Did Our Love Go-Supremes 1964 This was their first of several #1 songs. Not bad, but I can't see how they ALL got to #1. BTW: congratulations on reaching #5000, Adam !

5017 - 5016. Not familiar with these.
5015 Come Back - Foo Fighters

5014 - 5005. Wow! I don't know any of these!

I like Get Down Tonight better.

5017 Beach Baby-First Class 1974 I like it when my mom sings it whenever she's at the beach. 5016 Must Have Been Crazy-Chicago 1979 Barely remember this. 5015 Come Back-Foo Fighters 2002 (new addition) I agree this is kind of weak especially compared to every track off their first and FINEST album "The Colour & The Shape". 5014 Love Gun-Kiss 1977 Pretty good. 5013 You Want Her Too-Paul McCartney 1989 One of the few post 85 McCartney songs I know. Probably because of Costello. 5012 The Midnight Special-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 Zzzzzz 5011 Calling to You-Robert Plant 1993 Don't know it 5010 Angel (Theme)-Angel1975 I've probably heard this but don't remember it 5009 Brand New Key-Melanie 1971 A wee bit annoying? Try EXTREMELY annoying. I hate this song. 5008 Love So Right-Bee Gees 1976 Nothing they do is average. No seriously, this isn't one of their best but I still like it. 5007 Run So Far-Eric Clapton 1989 Good track from a good album 5006 Red Skies-Fixx 1982 Just ok 5005 Something So Strong-Crowded House 1986 I love anything to do with Neil Finn 5004 He Don't Love You (Like I Love You)-Tony Orlando & Dawn 1975 Love this version. 5003 (Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty-KC & the Sunshine Band 1976 Never liked this. They've done so much better. 5002 Good Clean Fun-Monkees 1969 Whaddaya know? Another Monkees song that I don't know. 5001 The Beast-Twisted Sister 1984 Good lord. I haven't heard this track in years. 5000 Where Did Our Love Go-Supremes 1964 Overplayed 4999 That Smell-Lynyrd Skynyrd 1974 In my top 10 most HATED songs ever! 4998 The One Thing-INXS 1983 Just listened to this track last night.

5015 Come Back-Foo Fighters 2002 (new addition) I agree this is kind of weak especially compared to every track off their first and FINEST album "The Colour & The Shape". At first I was going to say, "The Colour and the Shape isn't their first!" but then I realized you meant two separate albums! LOL! You know, even after listening to it again the other day, I can't get into that album beyond My Hero.

5003 (Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty-KC & the Sunshine Band 1976 Never liked them much anyway, and by '76 I was darn tired of them. They really did seem to take up a lot of AM radio in those middle years.

5013 - You Want Her Too - I really got into the album at that time . The tunes are very strong. It was really a decent album. It won't make the world forget Band on the Run or Venus and Mars, but it was a good comeback, especially considering his age.
