Great topic, and all I can think of at the moment is the alternate version of Words by the Monkees on Missing Links CD that has a very brief backwards section.
John mumbles what sounds like something incoherent at the end of I'm So Tired, and when played backwards it says "Paul is dead, miss him, miss him...." (It sorta really does!)
And (I read this in a book) in Jimi Hendrix's ....And the Gods Made Love there is a line recorded backwards-"one more time".

I'll probably think of more later...
The flip side of They're Coming To Take Me Away Ha Ha, is the same "song" backwards. (Even the label on that side is the mirror image of the hit side.)
Susan by The Buckinghams - I'm pretty sure that in order to get the effect of discord that they use in the interlude of that song they have to be including some backwards recording.
This doesn't exactly fit the category, but Stevie Wonder recorded the song "Alfie" back in 1968 under the pseudonym Eivets Rednow - which is Stevie Wonder backwards.

That was the "psychedelic break" that was so prevelent at the time, such as on the songs A Day in the Life by the Beatles and My World Fell Down by Sagittarius.

ELO-Fire On High ("The music is reversable, but time is not... Turn back.. Turn back...")
Def Leppard-Rocket (That little vocal bit at the very beginning is "We're fighting with the Gods Of War" backwards)
America-Moon Song (There's a backward phrase, but I never checked to see what it said)
Deep Purple-Fault Line (The rhythm track is backwards)
Also, on Zappa's "We're Only In It For The Money" album, side 1 ends with a backwards verse which was edited out of "Mother People" on side 2.

Great topic, Ken!
Here's a few more, with short backwards portions:
Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In) - Kenny Rogers & the First Edition I Dig Rock and Roll Music - Peter, Paul & Mary

How about at the end of one of those "stroke" tunes--"Darling Nikki" by Prince "Hello, how are you, I'm fine, (Someone) is coming, coming, coming"
I love that gimmick!
