I've never been able to figure out how the Oldies stations pick their playlists. You would think with literally thousands of songs, HIT songs, to choose from, they'd utilize a much bigger playlist. -- And then they use that 'Lost Oldie of the Day' ploy. Hey! It's only 'lost' because they ignore it! Ain't that the truth! I remember one weekend, the oldies station here in St. Louis had a "lost oldies" weekend. The idea was to call up and request stuff you haven't heard in a long time. So some guy calls and requests "I Think We're Alone Now" and they play it! What planet has this guy been on, that he hasn't heard this song in a long time? ? ? This *% station played that *#&% song day in and day out!!! Argggggghhhhh!

Ya'know, Tracy, even though I love this particular JT song, I agree with you that he can get quite annoying. There are many of his songs in which he definitely grates on me. I like most of his songs (I didn't care for his rendition of "Handy Man"; it was too slow--that particular song sounds better at a faster tempo IMHO--but I like all his other stuff that I've heard). It's his acting that I don't care for--he did a movie in the early '70s called "Two Lane Blacktop", which I saw about 10 years ago on A&E. It was a VERY boring movie IMHO, and he couldn't act at all! Dennis Wilson (of the Beach Boys) played his sidekick and his acting wasn't much better. Plus, for a movie about drag-racing, it moved soooooooo slooooooowwwwww!

(Last Night) I Didn't Get To Sleep At All - One of 5D's best. Great song from an underrated group.
You've Go a Friend - Great song, I've always loved it. And JT does sound like your buddy.
My Pledge of Love - A really fun song from the summer of '69
How Can I Be Sure - Great song, maybe my favorite from the Rascals
Keep On Loving You - Another great one
Numbers 223, 224, & 225 - don't know
I Want You, I Need You Love You - Good song, just not a favorite
I Don't Want To Be Right - Sorry H2, don't like this one.

Every time the show was on, this same idiot would call up and ask for " Ooohwah Diddy Diddy".. and every time they'd play it.

Somehow I can't picture JT as a drag racer.

I Don't Want To Be Right - Sorry H2, don't like this one. That's quite all right, Woody. Jus' cuz I like it, you don't have to like it. It's not like it's by Roy Orbison or something! ;D
