Sssssssssssssssssso let's go!
Santana-Best of This is that red cover collection that came out about 4 or 5 years ago. I think I got it in the new used section at the local place around that time.
Savage Garden-Affirmation No, it's Bekki's. Not sure why she got it, but she's never really listened to it. I think this was another new used purchase, but when it came out.
Saved By the Bell-Soundtrack YES! It's mine! When I found out Rhino had such a collection, I had to have it! It's actually missing some later songs, but it's got some of the ridiculous songs from the ridiculous show. This was through the mail about 3 or so years ago.
Say Anything-Soundtrack Got this back in 89 because there is a McCartney-like song the rock station here played back then called Keeping the Dream Alive by Freiheit. I think this was from the big CD store near the city.
Shangri-Las-At Their Best Cheesily put together collection I got through a cataloge when I was ordering some plain white 45 sleeves back in the early 90's. The most pathetic thing is there is a skip in the SOURCE recording of Give Him a Great Big Kiss (the song I got this for). Believe me, it's not the CD itself, it's the original recording.
Ally McBeal Soundtrack-Vonda Sheppard Neither of us watched the show-ever-but Bekki heard some song and liked it. This was news used probably about 5 years ago from the local joint.
Simple Minds-Glittering Prize This was for the holidays of 93-94. I think it was a gift.
Jessica Simpson-Sweet Kisses No, it's Bekki's! This was from before Jessica was discovered to be a ding-a-ling. And again, she hasn't listened in years (or much when she did). Another new used back not long after it's released.
Sly & The Family Stone-Anthology I don't remember the year exactly. Probably around 96. I DO know that I bought it with UFO. I think this was from the big store near Chicago.
Smashing Pumpkins-(Rotten Apples) Greatest Hits I really only like 1979. Just like Nirvana, there is a couple songs that are tolerable, so a GH was perfect. I think this was a gift, holidays 02-03.
Soundgarden-Down on the Upside Seems like many didn't like this one. I did, a lot. This was a Christmas gift, 96, from Bekki.
Spice Girls-Spice Shut up again. It's still in it's shrink wrap since like 96, what does that tell you? Got it from Blockbuster Music.
Spinners-Very Best of The single disc Rhino collection. Not sure if I got this just before seeing them at a local fest or if I got it before then. Don't remember the year or anything.
Rick Springfield-Encore Collection A budget collection we picked up at Coconuts because Bekki liked him. This was late 90's. Not a complete collection.
Ringo Starr-Blast From Your Past From holidays 91-92.
Tommy Shane Steiner-Then Came the Night There was one song on the Country guy's CD Bekki wanted so I picked it up about 2 years ago from the local joint, new used.
Cat Stevens-Very Best of This is the collection first offered on TV, 20 tracks. I think I got this at the local place, new used, not too long after release.
Rod Stewart-If We Fall in Love Tonight It's pathetic this is the only Rod I have on disc. It's a love song collection that came out in like 96. It was the selection of the month with BMG and we just let them send it. It DOES have You're in My Heart and Tonight's the Night, but otherwise it's pretty bad.
Stephen Stills-Manassas A gift a few years back for one of the holidays.
Stone Temple Pilots-Tiny Music Got this with Heart's Brigade for $3.99 each at another used CD store, probably in 98 or so.
Stone Temple Pilots-Thank You I'll probably get rid of the previous entry since this compilation has the songs I want on it. Got this for holidays 04-05.
Styx-Grand Illussion Holidays 91-92
Styx-Greatest Hits This is from the ALMOST great collection from 95, with the Lady re-recording. This was my cousin's and I borrowed it so long, she told me to keep it! This was probably around 98 or so.
Styx-Greatest Hits part 2 Same thing here, except she let me have this one first.
Donna Summer-On the Radio Greatest Hits 1 & 2 One of the albums Bekki LOVED when we met, she only had 1 of the 2 tapes. So we picked this up-I THINK from BMG in 96.
Good Rockin' Tonight-The Legacy of Sun Records Another one automatically sent from Columbia Records back in 03. It's still sealed but it has plenty of good artists covering songs including Macca and Plant & Page.
Super Hits of the 70's:Have a Nice Day Vol 14 I can't remember the stories on these 4 volumes. I wanna say I got several at once.
Super Hits of the 70's:Have a Nice Day Vol 18
Super Hits of the 70's:Have a Nice Day Vol 19
Super Hits of the 70's:Have a Nice Day Vol 20
Diana Ross & The Supremes-20 Greatest Hits A mostly Diana-era collection (3 post Di). This is part of the 96 BMG stuff.
Best of 60's Surf I can't describe it, but you've all seen this line of compilations. This was brought to me one Christmas by an old lady friend of my dad's. Don't know why, never got anything before or after! Best track on here is I Live For the Sun. This had to be like 1991.
Survivor-Greatest Hits This is the "metal" looking cover. I think I picked this up because they were going to be playing our local fest. Not sure where I got it, but this was about 94.
Sweet-Best of Got this for Christmas of 95 from Bekki. This is the 16 track collection from Capitol in 93.
And yours?

I have more Ssssss then I realized. So here they are S The Salteens – Let Go Of Your Bad Days They are a power pop band from Vancouver. The disc is very good. I bought this last year at the same time that I bought the Spencer Davis disc mentioned in the "D" section. Santana – Abraxas('98 reissue - remastered with bonus tracks) Santana – Santana III ('98 reissue - remastered with bonus tracks) I bought these from Future Shop at the same time not too long after they were first released back in 1998.I believe my oldest brother was with me. Santana – Supernatural I bought this back in '99 shortly before a DJ gig for a wedding. The song Smooth of course was everywhere.I have to admit that the first time I heard the song (which was when the band made an appearance on David Letterman). I wasn't impressed - Carlos as always was brilliant - it was Rob Thomas that I thought was terrible. The thing that bugs me about the album - is all the guest appearances. Clapton - that's great - there's nothing wrong with that at all but Lauryn Hill?, Wclef Jean and I was never a fan of Dave Mathews - Yikes! (my apologies to any Dave Mathews fans here at The Click) I have never listened to the CD all the way through The Searchers – Greatest Hits This is the Rhino collection. I love this disc. I had to special order this from Rhino back in '89 / '90.I could never find it in the local shops. Bob Seger- Smokin’ O.P.’s I remember my oldest brother had this on 8 - track. I bought this sometime in the mid 90's I think. Bob Seger – The Distance I remember recording Even Now, Makin' Thunderbirds and Roll Me Away off the radio back around '82 / '83.I always liked those tunes and so I finally got around to adding the disc to my collection sometime around '93 / '94. Kenny Wayne Shepherd – Trouble Is… Kenny is a great blues /rock guitar player. I Bought this new in 1997 after hearing a few of the tunes on the radio. Kenny Wayne Shepherd – Live On I got this for Christmas back in 1997 from my Dad. Shoes – Propeller I ordered this from that Mom and Pop store back in 1994. The guy that used to work there was also a big fan. Great power pop. Sloan – One Chord To Another More power pop - these guys are a popular band from Toronto. They seem to get better and better with each album - polishing there sound.I bought this new after listening to a few tunes at one of Future Shop's listening stations back in 1996. Sloan – Action Pact I got this for Christmas - back in 2003. I remember two of the guys being interviewed the day after George Harrison died and were asked for their thoughts. The band are big Beatles' fans. The guitar player was showing all the Harrison vinyl albums he had. Small Faces – From The Beginning I bought this new sometime in the early 90's. Small Faces – Ogdens Nut Gone Flake I got this from that Mom and Pop store around '93 (?). It was a "special edition" packaged in a metal round tin. Elliot Smith – Figure 8 This was recommended to me from the guy who worked at that Mom and Pop store. I was talking with him at one of our record shows and he mentioned Elliot. I bought this new shortly after in 2000. The Smithereens – Especially For You At the time I purchased this which was around 1990. I was trying to complete my Smithereens collection up that point.I had read a great article about the band in Goldmine magazine. The Smithereens – Live! A fantastic 6 track EP featuring a killer cover of The Seeker by The Who. Bought this new around '90. The Smithereens – Beauty and Sadness (4 track EP) I was buying eveythiing I could get my hands on! LOL The Smithereens – Green Thoughts I picked this up used from that Mom and Pop store around '90 / '91 The Smithereens - 11 This was the first CD I bought by the guys. I found a used copy back in late '89 early '90. The Smithereens – Blow Up Bought it after reading a review in Entertainment Weekly magazine back in 1991. The Smithereens – A Date With The Smithereens After taking a break the band released this in 1994.By this time they had left Capitol Records and signed with RCA / BMG. This was their only album with the label. I bought this the week it was released. The Smithereens – Blown To Smithereens (Best of) A great collection I highly recommend this if you are interested in checking out the band.Even though I already owned all the songs. The only track I didn't have was their cover of Time Won't Let Me so I had to buy it. Bought it new in 1995. The Smithereens – Attack Of The Smithereens (Rarities) A very cool collection of b-sides, cover tunes etc. I bought this new back in 1995 from Future Shop. The Smithereens – God Save The Smithereens I bought this new in 1999. Either from A & B Sound or HMV. The Smoke – Smoke – The Best Of Sugar Man (British import) I bought this earlier this year. Some of you may know the song My Friend Jack which is on both the Nuggets 2 boxed set and on Volume 7 I believe of Rhino's British Rock CD series. Great psych - pop. Spirit – Time Circle (1968 – 1972) I used to hear songs like Fresh Garbage, Nature's Way and of course I Got a Line On You on the radio quite regularly. I read quite a bit about the guys and wanted to investigate further so I bought this new - during a sale sometime in the late '90's. The Spongetones – The Music Of The Spongetones (Homemade CD – R compilation) I never see their CD's around locally although you can order them directly from the groups website. I was lucky enough to find quite a few of their tunes to download. This CD contains 16 tracks.I made this around 2001. Bruce Springsteen – Born In The U.S.A. I bought this in the early 90's as an upgrade from my vinyl copy. Billy Squier – 16 Strokes I bought this new during a sale in the mid 90's The Stairs – Mexican R&B I remember reading a review about this album in 1992. They are kind of a cross between The Beatles , The Stones and The Pretty Things. Then I kind of forgot about them because I never came acrossed a copy of the album. Now, fast forward to earlier this year. I was at a buddys place late one night going through a big stack of used CD's that he has - he's always on the lookout for CD's that he knows are deleted.I almost passed out when I saw that he had a copy - I bought it from him immediatley. The Stampeders – Over 60 Minutes With… (Greatest Hits) I bought this new in 1990. The Stampeders – Over 70 Minutes With … (Greatest Hits - Volume 2) I purchased this used around 2003. Ringo Starr – RINGO I bought this new in 1991 / '92 . Steely Dan – Can’t Buy A Thrill (‘98 remastered) This has always been my favorite SD album.Bought it new back in '98 Steppenwolf - 16 Greatest Hits I bought this new during a sale sometime in the early 90's. Rod Stewart – Gasoline Alley (CD – R) I could never find a copy of this in the stores. So I just took the songs that were included on the boxed set and downloaded the rest and I had my very own copy. I also made one for my oldest brother. This was in late 2002. Rod Stewart – Every Picture Tells A Story Bought this new - in the early 90's. Rod Stewart – Storyteller – The Complete Anthology – 1964 – 1990 (4 CD boxed set) My Mom and Dad bought this for me for Christmas - back in 1989. Rod Stewart – When We Were The New Boys I bought this because I liked the "new" version of Ooh La La and Cigarettes and Alcohol which I thought was the best new song he had done since Hot Legs in 1977. Kim Stockwood – Bonavista Kim is a Canadian singer / songwriter from Newfoundland - similiar in style to Sherl Crow. I bought this used about a year after it was released back in 1996. She had two or three songs from this album that were big hits. Kim Stockwood – 12 Years Old This was her 1999 follow up to Bonavista. It's a great album. Bought it new in '99. Stories – About Us I couldn't believe I found a copy of this used. Love this record.I bought it around '94 I guess? Stray Cats – Best Of The Stray Cats – Rock This Town I bought this new at a sale around 1991.I got it cheap. Styx – Cornerstone I bought this new sometime in the very early 90's. It was an upgrade from my old vinyl copy. Styx – Greatest Hits This was a collection that was released by "Polytel" of Canada (no relation to K-tel) and it also has the "A & M logo" on the back. It's a pretty complete collection( it has 17 songs all together). It doesn't include Lorelei but it does have Lady.I bought this used from the Mom and Pop store around 1992 Sugarbomb – “ Bully” (CD - R) I borrowed this from my oldest brother and made my copy. Great Beatlesque power pop. Swag – Catch All These guys were "kind of" a supergroup. The band included members from Cheap Trick, Wilco, Sixpence None The Richer and The Mavericks. It's a great power pop album. Bought it new in 2001 . The Sweet – The Sweet (Featuring Little Willy & Blockbuster) (+ 2 bonus tracks) (Homemade CD – R) I never did find a copy of this - so I just made up my own back in 2003. I'm still on the lookout for a mint vinyl copy. The Sweet – The Best of I bought this new in 1992. not long after it was released. Mathew Sweet – Girlfriend Bought it new in 1991after hearing the title track. Mathew Sweet – 100% Fun I bought this used in 2005. Mathew Sweet – She Said, She Said (CD single) (Homemade CD – R) I did a search one night for some songs of his to download and this popped up. This was from a benefit CD.

I've got to get going soon, so I'll list as many "S" CD's as I can now, then I'll have to get back to 'em later.
Salt-N-Pepa: The Hits Remixed and Very Necessary--Probably bought these at garage sales.
Sam and Dave: Greatest Hits--Bought this used at a record store.
Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack--Not sure where I ever got this.
Savage Garden: Savage Garden--I think I bought this new. I really liked it at the time. Haven't listened to it in awhile.
Sawyer Brown: Greatest Hits 1990-1995--I was a moderate fan of these guys. Bought this at the Goodwill.
Boz Scaggs: Hits!--Bought at the Goodwill not too long ago.
Scandal Featuring Patty Smyth: Scandalous--Loved this CD and played it all the time, although not lately. LOL! Have to have another listen again soon.
Fred Schneider: Fred Schneider--The B-52's guy's solo album. I bought this for Mike a long time ago.
Bob Seger/Silver Bullet Band: The Fire Inside, Greatest Hits, Live Bullet, Nine Tonight, and Stranger in Town--I was a big Bob fan back in the day. Haven't listened to him in years.
Shea Seger: The May Street Project--Adam, you may remember our big conversation about this gal after seeing her on a "Women Rock" program a few years ago. I really liked her, I think you said you weren't impressed. LOL! Anyway, I bought this cd on eBay, might have listened to it once or twice, and then forgot about it, and her as well.
Semisonic: Feeling Strangely Fine--Goodwill buy.
The Brian Setzer Orchestra: S/T, and The Dirty Boogie--The first one I bought used, I bought "Boogie" for Mike one year for Christmas.
Sex and the City Soundtrack--Garage sale find. It's got a few cool songs on it.
Vonda Shepard: Songs from Ally McBeal, By 7:30, and Heart and Soul-New Songs from Ally McBeal--Vonda was supposed to be in our town for a concert a few years ago. My sister-in-law and I had tickets. The concert was postponed, scheduled for a later date, and our tickets would be honored. As that date got closer, eventually the concert was cancelled altogether. I haven't listened to these cd's since. LOL!
Simon and Garfunkel: Bridge Over Troubled Water, and Greatest Hits--Both bought used.
Paul Simon: The Paul Simon Collection--2 CD set. Don't remember where I got it.
Frank Sinatra: Duets and Greatest Hits--Never a huge fan, but I gotta have SOMETHING in my collection from him.
Nancy Sinatra: Lightning's Girl 1965-1971--Bought this at a garage sale, along with one by Nancy and Lee Hazelwood. I sold that one on eBay for 60 bucks!
Siouxsie and the Banshees: Peepshow--Bought at a garage sale for a buck.
Sister Hazel: Somewhere More Familiar--Bought this for one particular song, but I don't remember which one. LOL!
Smash Mouth: All Star Smash Hits and Fush You Mang--I liked these guys at first, then they just got really tiresome.
Well, I gotta go, but I'll be back with the rest later. I know ya can't wait!

Sesame Street: In Harmony Great compilation of songs from Sesame Street back around 1980. Has some selections from James Taylor, Carly Simon, the Doobie Brothers, and - the reason I bought this - Bette Midler.
Spice Girls - Spice Unlike Adam, I will admit that I bought this album purposely with every intent of listening to it. And have I? Yes, I have. In the car. With the windows down.
Joss Stone - Soul Sessions I bought this on a whim thanks to the advice of an online pal of mine who loved it. I trusted his taste, so I picked it up. Short track listing, but the girl can sing.
Barbra Streisand - Guilty I was looking for Barbra's newest album last year, which she did with Barry Gibb. I was very excited about it. While looking for it, I found a remastered version of this classic, which I only had on LP, and I knew I had to have it.
Barbra Streisand - Christmas Memories Found this used about a year and a half ago. I've never listened to it.
Barbra Streisand - The Essential (two-disc) Finest Barbra collection I've ever found. I love it.
Barbra Streisand - Guilty Pleasures A play on the title of Guilty, this was released last year. Barry Gibb produced and even does a duet as well as some backing vocals on this album. In a lot of ways, I like this better than Guilty.
Donna Summer - Gold (2 disc) Great collection, but I rarely listen to it. I really bought it just to say I had it.
Summer Stock/In The Good Old Summertime soundtracks This single disc combines the soundtracks of two rare Judy Garland movies that I just love. This is a Rhino release, numbered 2442 out of 6000. I really had to search to find this one.
Diana Ross and The Supremes - The Ultimate Collection Another set of essentials.

I'm back with more...
Will Smith: Greatest Hits--Bought this for about 8 bucks a couple years ago at Target.
The Smithereens: Blow Up--Goodwill buy. Great CD.
Patty Smyth: S/T--Think I bought it new.
Todd Snider: Songs for The Daily Planet--My brother liked this guy, so when I found this cd at a library sale, I bought it to see if I liked him too. I did!
Jill Sobule: S/T--Bought it used at a record store. Listened to it exactly once.
Sonny and Cher: The Beat Goes On--Garage sale find. I need to get more S & C CD's.
Sopranos Soundtracks--2 CD's--the original, and the follow up "Peppers and Eggs"--Good music from a great show.
Soul Asylum: Grave Dancers Union-- Bought this at the Goodwill a long time ago.
Soundgarden: Superunknown-- Bought it new. Love "Black Hole Sun" and "Spoonman" so I had to have the CD.
South Park: Chef Aid--Don't know where this came from. I think Mike bought it, or I bought it for him.
Space Jam Soundtrack: Bought it when the Hastings here went out of business.
Britney Spears: Baby One More Time, Britney, and Oops I Did It Again--Ok, I'm not TOO ashamed to admit to owning these. LOL! They were all garage sale buys.
Spice Girls: Spice--Another garage sale buy. Probably at the same sale where I got the Britney CDs. lol!
Spin Doctors: Pocket Full Of Kryptonite--Can't remember where I got it.
Dusty Springfield: Dusty In Memphis--I think I bought this off eBay.
Rick Springfield: The Encore Collection, and Greatest Hits--Both garage sale purchases.
Bruce Springsteen: Greatest Hits and Human Touch--"Hits" was bought new at Wal-Mart for $8.88, "Touch" was a garage sale buy.
Squeeze: Singles-45's and Under--Goodwill buy. Used to play it all the time.
Billy Squier: Best Of, and Live--Billy was a staple of my high school years. Lotsa memories.
Staind: Break the Cycle--Goodwill buy. Great CD.
Stand By Me Soundtrack--I have this on vinyl, and played it a lot. Found the cd at a garage sale awhile back.
Starship: Greatest Hits, Knee Deep in the Hoopla, and No Protection--Love this band in the 80's. Saw them in concert back then, and they were all stoned or drunk, slurring the words to the songs, if they could even remember the words. It was an awful concert. But hey, I still like listening to these CD's. LOL!
Steely Dan: A Decade of Steely Dan--Garage sale purchase.
Rod Stewart: Downtown Train-Selections from the Storyteller Anthology, Greatest Hits, If We Fall in Love Tonight, Sing It Again Rod, A Spanner in the Works, Vagabond Heart, and When We Were the New Boys--Most of these were bought used and I've had them forever, "Fall in Love Tonight" was just bought a few days ago at the Goodwill--judging from your "review" of it Adam, I shouldn't have bothered. LOL!
Stone Country: Various artists performing songs of the Rolling Stones--Bought this for Mike one year. It's ok, but we haven't played it in years.
Doug Stone: I Thought It Was You--This has a "Nice Price" sticker on it, so I guess I didn't pay too much for it.
Joss Stone: Mind, Body and Soul--My brother bought this for me for Christmas one year. I love the CD.
Stray Cats: Runaway Boys and Best Of--Loved the Cats back in the day. These are both good collections.
Stroke 9: Nasty Little Thoughts--Bought this new at Target awhile back. Love the song "Little Black Backpack".
Styx: Classics Vol. 15, Cornerstone, Extended Versions, and Pieces of Eight--Bought these all used at various times. I used to listen to "Cornerstone" non-stop on vinyl in my high school days, so when I found it on CD, naturally I was thrilled. Just played it in my car not too long ago. Memories.
Sugar Ray: Floored, and 14:59--Like Smashmouth, I really liked these guys at first. Then I just got tired of them.
Donna Summer: Anthology (2 disc set), and VH-1 Presents Live and More Encore--Not sure where I got Anthology, I bought "VH-1" new after seeing her in concert on said channel. Really good.
Supertramp: Classics Vol. 9--Goodwill buy. Another favorite group from my high school days.
Survivor: Greatest Hits--Goodwill buy. Not a bad CD.
Whew! I think that's it!
