I'll never forget that video for Sheena Easton's Strut Wow! ;D

Christine McVie's Got a Hold On Me - an excellent tune that today seems to be totally forgotton by radio.

At the time of course Prince was everywhere and I quickly grew tired of him but over the years - I 've listened to the occasional tune and it's really good (except for the Sheena Easton duet and anything from the Batman Soundtrack IMO that material has not aged well).

I listened to Twisted Sister's I Wanna Rock a few weeks ago and it's still a great tune and great fun to listen to.

.38 Special's Teacher, Teacher - A really. really great song - I've seen the movie "Teachers" a few times over the years as well.

In my opinion, this was the last consistently good year for music. The remainder of the '80s would produce some good songs, but overall, it was much more hit and miss. I was a high school sophomore/junior during 1984, so these songs bring back a lot of memories.
