Actually, I remember the first time I heard All The Young Dudes back in the day, and I was thinking "Dudes"? Who in the hell calls guys "dudes". That really sounds stupid. Then at the same time I had this friend in grad school who was from Philly, and he would use "dudes" a lot, and everyone else laughed at him.  So I guess it was just a "stoner" term that hippies used back then? I don't really know, Pete. I forgot about it, until years later when I realized everyone was using it. |
