Lot's of good stuff on this one, Dawn.
Cherry Hill Park is one of my faves. When I first moved to Atlanta in 1975, I lived in an aparttment complex called Cherry Hill. There were rumors that the song had been based on that apartment complex. Billy Joe was from Atlanta, so I guess it's possible, but he didn't write the song, and there are a million places called Cherry Hill. I like the story though, but I never met Mary Hill. While I was living there, though, I did meet Nancy. ;D
Other faves: Revolution Stormy What Does It Take All Along The Watchtower Lay Lady Lay (Top 250) Just Dropped In (Kenny was still in his hippy phase) The Letter I Am The Walrus (which was playing in my car last night) Fire I Had Too Much To Dream Sunshine of Your Love Green River

Dawn, Another fantastic compilation of tunes. Green River has always been among my many faves of CCR. Friday night I went and saw Creedence Clearwater Revisited which includes original members Doug "Cosmo" Clifford and Stu Cook. The band is fantastic - it was an excellent show! Lead singer & Rhythm guitarist John Tristao sounds very similar to John Fogerty in many ways. The crowd were up dancing and you could tell the band were having a great time. Other faves from your cassette mix include The Beatles (of course ) The Electric Prunes Bob Dylan Simon and Garfunkel Animals Rascals Box Tops Billy Joe Royal Sly & The Family Stone etc

That's pretty cool about the Cherry Hill apartments. Yes, I remember Lay Lady Lay being one of your top songs. I'm kind of hit and miss with Dylan (although I do think he's extremely talented in songwriting), but I've always loved that particular one of his.

I saw an advertisement for an appearance by CCRevisited at one of the venues here, and had been debating whether to go, as I hadn't known much about their live set. Based on your review, I may have to check it out!

Nice selection. I know all of these except the James & Bobby Purify song.
"Reflections"- China Beach!
"I had too much to dream"- or was it "I Had too much to drink"?
"Tighten Up" has been in an insurance ad on TV recently.
